Help Chosing a Dildo

My wife and I recently used a dildo for the first time together, it was the first time ever with a toy for her. We had fun but I think it may have been too big (about 2" or that is how it was advertised.)
I would like advice or opinions about texture, size, bent or straight, etc. Our goal is to get one that "feels like the real thing." We will keep the old one for playing but we are looking at a 1.5" diameter for the new one.

I use mine more for clitoral stimulation and not so much for penetration, therefore size doesn't really matter. I prefer a vibrator to a plain dildo. What's most important to me is the location of the the buzzer. Some are in the base and others (the kind I like) are in the head. The critical thing is lubrication and this is even more so if she has a jungle down there. Some of the latex "natural feel" dildos and vibes have a tacky feel to them and if not well lubricated, they can stick to your hair with most unpleasant results. Even if she's shaven, it's a nice feeling to have the dildo really slippery so that it doesn't chafe your skin. I do prefer the latex ones to anything that's hard plastic.

Play around and find what pleases her best. Not all women like to be pounded away with a dildo like it was a jack hammer. I really like the nice long slow upstrokes on my vaginal lips, stimulating my clit. Once I'm really cranked up, I can take some penetration and a steady mix of that plus the clitoral stimulation...back and forth...really sets me off. Plus the penetration doesn't have to be really deep either, a couple inches is plenty nice!!

I'm not really into dildos - actually, I don't care for them at all. Vibrators are the way to go, especially as many of them are penis-shaped and you can use them as dildos if you want.

I'd recommend silicone vibes/dildos. They feel nice and are generally of a higher quality than plastic, and they don't have that sticky/tacky feel of jelly vibes. The jelly is really hard to keep clean (bacteria and lint free) because of the surface.

WRT size, I prefer something more slender, especially if it's going inside. Helps with maneuvering to the g-spot too if it's not as thick and has that curve. 1.5 inches diameter is the biggest I'd ever go, and that's still big. 1 to 1.25 inches is my preference.

Thank you, we already have a vibrator so the dildo is an addition. we used pleanty of lube the other night and everything went fine. Maybe it's not too big but I had also read that the smaller the dildo the more control she will feel and enjoy it more.

Sorry, I read in your first post that the dildo was her first time with a toy. For more control, get a slimmer dildo. Cyberskin is probably what you're looking for if you want a 'real' feel.
