I used to have a lovely recipe for carrot cake and I'm sure it had raisins and walnuts in it ..... hmmm I'll look, it was nice but not as nice as coffee :)

I think we need a tea and cake hour on here :)

Well unfortunately you are out of luck. I have tried a lot of different cakes, over a lot of different countries and so far they all have the terrible affliction of making me less hungry while also making me rounder. But I will continue my quest and will keep you updated on the studies ;)

This may be my time for heresay but I am not a coffee cake person at all. I just never quite got on with it. I know, I know, I am a terrible person.

Just one hour?????? Surely not, I mean you need a cake for mid afternoon tea, one for dessert and the famous supper cake (OK, so I made that one up but the more I say it the more chance it will become a thing).

After all this chat it depresses me that I only have a chocolate gateu in the house which is currently frozen in the freezer. But then it is my birthday soon and as anyone from the UK knows this calls for a Colin the Caterpillar cake which will be eaten face first (calm down in the back rows there) as is custom. Albeit I may be buying it for myself this year :(

Lemon drizzle for me, though the MiL makes a very nice chocolate and Guinness cake.

Can I take a coffee instead of the tea or a nice chilled glass of limonata with mint please?
