I need help from someone that works here.


I have pm notices coming to my HOME E-MAIL! I did not check the box that says to send notification to my e-mail.... I had to completely turn off my pm's right now because, I share this email with my 2 daughters.

Please. Please someone fix this.

Sometimes things go a-flooey here, too, Catherine...I would suggest you change your email addy even after this problem is fixed...

Why not just create a separate account through hotmail or something like that?
I have a separate account I am not too attached to for my forum subscriptions and also use it any time I am asked to enter an email address when I am not 100% confidant about the site or whatever.
I would recommend you and your kids have your own accounts just to simplify life.
Sorry I can't help with your original prob though.

have you gone into the user CP and selected the "edit email & password" option? you can enter a different email addy or eliminate it completely (it's marked "optional").

also if you go into the user CP and select "edit options" you can uncheck both the options in the "receive email" section. there's a "receive email notification of new private messages" checkbox under the "messaging and notifications" section of this area as well... you can uncheck that if you'd like.

i hope that helps you. exercising one or all of those options should clear up your problem. and just for the record, what ltnsfr007 said was WAY out of line IMO. sorry about that.

What EJfan said. I would have written the same thing if he hadn't already posted it. You can fix these problems in options. Just look around.

I'll just add support for all of you getting separate email accounts. It's silly to share an addy with the number of free choices. If you get yourself a gmail account (just about anyone can send you an invitation), you can set up your kids with one as well, and have all of their emails come into your box too, if you're sharing because you need to monitor what they get. There are also lots of free choices for safe email for kids.

I have a hotmail account for my Literotica stuff. It's easy and secure and there's no way your daughters could ever see anything in there unless you logged in for them. It's also Free.

Like the previous poster said, just go into the UserCP, the links at the top of any forum page, in the blue menu bar and change your preferences there.
