Not sure if this will be of interest to people or not. I've noticed when I take pics to post on lit, I'm disliking my stomach more and more. I want to start exercising and trying to tone my stomach again. I'm hoping this can be a thread for those of us who would like to take steps to tone our bodies to encourage each other, remind each other to persist. Hopefully even keep each other up to date on progress as encouragement to others.

Day 1: I did 100 sit-ups, 4 sets of 25.

Anyone want to join the journey?

Ok, last week sucked for work. Starting fresh. See if there's any takers that need some encouragement getting in shape, maybe as progress is made, have some bragging rights. If not, I'll let this thread slowly slip off into the vast nothingness of lit history.

100 sit-ups tonight. See if I can successfully do it every night.

I hate what I see, but for way different reasons. BTW, I did 17.6 miles at work tonight, all the while moving pallets and supplies throughout a warehouse. Can't beat that leg workout.

For sure!!! I put in miles at work too. Let's in great shape, stomach, not so much. Could be because I still have a fat contained hernia that I probably need to have surgery on, but I digress, want my stomach to look flat again, that's my motivation. If I could get a hint of 6 pack (ya right 🤣) that would be awesome!

Six packs are nice , but there’s nothing wrong with a nice dad bod either ! Just sayin 😉

I wish I could stay motivated. Even when I eat better, get more rest, and exercise, that paunch is still very prevalent.

I hate myself when I over reacted when I caught my nephew watching me shower. I grabbed a towel when to his bedroom , slammed the door open and he was masturbating. I yell calling him a pervert and I was discussed with him. He broke down and cried . I left his room and we have not really talked. He spent the time writing me a note and handed it to me when no one was looking . Then I cried after reading it.

One day at a time is all it takes. Don't expect results right away, that's where most people fail. It's a long term goal. Come on here, write your goals, what exercises you've done, we can motivate each other!

Not quite what this thread is for but if you're reaction upset you, I'd spend some time in thought trying to figure out why for starters.

I hope you're doing well on your fitness journey.

Honestly, I had to stop. I still have a fat contained hernia in my abdomen. Apparently doing sit-ups is not the best idea. Was getting new pain where there wasn't before. Thank you for checking in. I'm discouraged because I want to get back into shape but I also (recently discovered) have other medical issues that need to be addressed.

If anyone wants encouragement for their own fitness journey, I'd love the be a motivator, someone to help remind you, encourage you, celebrate your fitness goals together. I do get plenty of exercise at work which is great, just wanted to tackle this belly I'm unused to seeing.

Sorry to hear that.

You can still work out in other ways though, right? Even if just getting out and walking more?

Yea, I get easily several miles of walking in each day. I mark buried utilities (fiber, phone, gas electric).

I've never been one to just exercise for its own sake (or for the good of my health even). Had a gym membership once but realised that after doing a couple of circuits on the machines I'd build up such a colossal thirst I'd knock our four pints of beer in the bar afterwards without them touching the sides 😃

Now however I've started a new job that involves a lot of lifting (sealed glass units weigh anywhere between 10-100lb each, and after shifting 30 or 40 of those onto a van for delivery you know you've had a workout. Rinse and repeat 3/4 times a day and you realise you've done a total of close on two tons of lifting, and while lifting them off the racks may seem harder, putting them down again gently is a different type of muscle use).

Long story short, my upper body and arms are toning and bulking out pretty damn quickly (only been in the job a little over a month and I can see the difference in the mirror already). I've still got more tummy than I should have but I'm expecting that to subside eventually.

While I haven't ever specifically sought out hard physical jobs, I do appreciate the effect when I have one. The fact that it's work and I have to do it (it's an all-male workshop and there's no room for slackers) makes it a lot easier to keep pushing myself than if I were paying for a gym for vanity purposes.

#1 It's all about what you put in your mouth....dicks & pussy don't count.
#2 Consistency. Make working out part of your day, like breakfast lunch and dinner (or if you masturbate everyday workout first.
#3 Can't beat age never been done. My wife did some modelling until she was about 55. She now says she wants to age gracefully yet hates looking in the mirror except the hours she spends doing something?? I run by mirrors
