Has writing got you interested in things that you weren’t interested in before?

It's not so much that I've discovered a new interest, as had the interest in a historical period (the death of Victoria to the Great Depression) reawakened. The period saw massive social, cultural, economic, technological, military and political change. It also had a sexual awakening during World War One and the Roaring Twenties. I was well-versed in this period during the 90s, but my attention shifted elsewhere. Researching for some stories has firmly brought my interest back to the period - I'm currently trying my hand at a First World War romance and can't decide whether to end it tragically or with a HEA.

Only temporarily. It’s interesting while researching and writing. Once it’s over, I don’t tend to cling to it. I already have enough interests which I don’t have time for. I avoid picking up new ones which I have even less time for.
