Has anyone else drawn the ire of story critic Stacnash? 🤣

It was August 2023.

As to the rest, this is the post where everything started, so knock yourselves out if you want to form an opinion of your own. There are follow-up threads, but this one should keep you amused for a while.

By the way, there were Tilan's (Plathfan's) post in that thread as well, doing what he does best, but they were clearly nuked along with his (original and first of many) account.
Is that the one that got them booted? I thought they'd started a thread of their own.

But at a quick glance the answer of who was reporting them is obvious. How I got accused I have no idea. I don't report trolls, they're more fun to bat around.

Why yes.

Funny coincidence, that.

Better a dumb fuck than a troll, as my granddad always said.
I've never thought they're the same person. Very different writing styles, for a start, and different ways of poking the beast, or going fishing (depending which way you look at it).

I still want to know who the audience is for the long lists of score sheets, where we all sit relative to all these other writers who've been "ranked". I guess we'll never find out. I have no clue if being in a list has driven traffic. There's no hint that it has - no-one's commenting that they saw my story in a list, and came to see what it was all about.

Excellent detective work. Thank you.

I should have chimed in more at the time, and now I wonder why I didn't... I was very annoyed with stacnash and her merry band of readers at one time.

ETA: Oh, I remember now. That's not a thread I frequent, so I didn't have a clue that any of that was going on until she tagged me in that one post. I was late to the party.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about?
I guess this is the problem for people with multiple accounts, you lose track of things 'you' said.

Maybe you figured out the person who did it, but initially you were bitching at me.

I don't have anything much to add as this is a pretty long running dead horse.

For the OP, here's a link to a previous looooong thread that includes a lot of discussion. For context:

Edited to add: remembered this too. In case anyone thought Stacy was above one bombing people

Edited again because why not

Posting stories on a free site like Literotica, can be both edifying, and painful. Sometimes those emotions are only minutes apart..
To create something, and put it out attracts criticism, and praise.
Some will like, and some will hate.
"You cannot have a thin skin and post. You will get flayed alive...
Critics are everywhere...
IMO, accept the fact you will not please everybody.
A critics opinion, is only that. The voice of one person.
An open mind is the most important tool when reading a critique. You don't have to accept it... It is only one opinion, in an ocean of differing perspectives...
There's an old adage about not laughing at others until you can laugh at yourself.
Criticism, might be like that. If you want flattery, expect some scathing criticism...
There is no right or wrong in creating anything, merely differing view points...

Am I right??? Fuck no, it's just another shitty opinion.

Cagivagurl
It’s not shitty. If someone like stactrash or whatever writes a bad review, it’s because they need to feel good about themselves. Actually I wish to see him in action. What do I do to get that monkey to perform for me?

You might have been late to the party but you were also one of very few people (outside of those being harassed) who publicly denounced the behavior of this group, the harassment and bombing they unleashed upon all those who dared to defy the often toxic reviews and rankings of these individuals.

I appreciated your stance very much and the fact that you had the balls to say it publicly, considering that this group resorted to massive bombing of everyone who drew their ire.

It's anecdotal evidence at best, but I did pick up an anon a while back who found two of my stories due to them being on another author's list, and stated this in a comment. So it might drive traffic, but only for a very specific type. After all, they have to find that author, read something of that author's, like what they read, realize that lists are a thing, then specifically hit up that author's page of lists and find someone else on it they like. And, of course, before any of that can happen, the list-maker has to find the authors they like and add them to said list.

As methods of promoting your work go, I wouldn't rely on this method exclusively. :)

That does happen, for sure, when readers find a writer they like, and go to that writer's favorites list to see who the author likes. I get a fair amount of traffic that way, I'm sure, and I find most of the content I read here that way. In fact, I must get most of my traffic that way, because I'm always seeing evidence by way of Views and scores changing, even on my oldest stories, that folk are working through my back catalogue. Activity jumps, of course, with every new story posted, when a new story pulls people in.

But that only works when the other Account name has content themselves. In this instance they don't. There's nothing to pull you in to her lists, unless you know they're there from this forum.

Yeah, that one was easy. They had no clue about the culture of the toilet they'd so merrily pissed into, and came away looking foolish. This is our toilet, dammit. We flush it.

I think I was a lot more vocal on That Other Thread that got nuked, IIRC.

Lol I was wondering why my thread lost so many replies.

Plathfan = gone
