I don’t know which forum to post this in, but I mostly hang out on this one, so…

Happy Veterans Day and Remembrance Day to all of those who served. It was an honor serving with so many amazing brothers and sisters in uniform.

Much respect to all Veterans who have taken on something larger than themselves.

Not many reply’s but it’s the thought. I come from a military family from way back. The revolutionary war, civil War, wwi and wwii, Korea. My uncle was a Marine kia in Vietnam. My father was in the navy. My brother was denied, they found a heart murmur during the physical, lucky him he had it taken care of before it became a problem. Then me, joined the navy out of high school and been in most conflicts since the 90s.

My son served in Afghanistan. He's trying to get his disability payments for PTSD and hearing loss increased. He took his vet benefits and made something of himself. He got his Master's last year. My family has served since the ARW. Ancestors died in the ARW, the CW. One even missed dying at the Alamo. He was 16 and sent that day on an errand. He received a land grant as an Alamo survivor, served in the CW, and lived to old age. The dead in our family lines from the CW haunts me.

Good luck to your son, Lady2020.
Get a good disability attny to help get thru the red tape.
Dad, grandfathers and uncles all served.

I’m glad to see your son is doing well. That is also an impressive family history of service. Wow! My hat is off to you and your family members.

PTSD and especially hearing loss are tuff ones. There are people to help with disability.
