“I ask you: Is it right to ‘take out’ a human life to solve a problem? What do you think? Is it right? Is it right or not?” Francis asked the thousands of people in attendance, according to Reuters.
When the crowd responded “No,” the pope continued: “Is it right to hire a hitman to solve a problem? It is not right to kill a human being, regardless of how small it is to solve a problem.”

The women were denouncing gender discrimination — at the synod, laymen have been granted the right to vote but the few laywomen participants cannot.

A West Virginia politician deleted his comment on Facebook telling liberals to get their “coathangers” ready since abortion would soon be outlawed with Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, but he couldn’t keep his offensive quote from being projected on the building he was inside during a city council meeting

In his reply, the local legislator showed he doesn’t understand women’s rights or basic grammar.
The fact that an elected official doesn’t know the difference between “your” and “you’re” would be more troubling if not for the other problem: He’s making light of the horrific reality of unregulated abortions, which would undoubtedly become more commonplace if Kavanaugh chips away at abortion rights as conservatives (except, apparently, Sen. Susan Collins) fully expect.
