I really was not trying to blow my own horn. I have just been surprised by the response to the story. I'm rather new to this and this story has far exceeded my regular series almost two to one. By the way Rump and Og are right, I have recieved an increase in readership and emails on the 'regular' work since the Halloween story posted.
I've been an avid reader all my life but it is only in the last couple of months that I've tried writing. Add in some editorial/transciption/posting problems that I think are mostly worked out with Laurel, my stories have been posted/disappeared/ been rejected after being up for a week/reposted, etc. so I have been trying to get that straight and have not posted a new 'chapter' in weeks. It does make for a lot of inconsistency in the reponse to the regular work.

It's not really good or bad.

We are doing some work on the way story pages are generated and it may cause some pending stories to increase (or maybe even decrease, but I don't think so) views while waiting to be approved. It shouldn't be any big deal and the numbers should work themselves out once the story is actually approved.

Could have contributed. Some of the problems I created through ignorance. Others were because of transcription. Some even Laurel had no idea how they happened (the disappearances). Laurel helped me get it straight. Plus having computer issues that are now mostly resolved and other RL things. I feel like getting back to it starting yesterday, I should have a new chapter up in a few days. You know: Shit Happens!

I just finished White Women. I liked the opening, but I thought the second half was too fast and I didn't quite understand who Lilly was and why she behaved the way she did. In spite of this, it was still an easy five in Lit terms.

Yesterday my story was at 4.66 with 91 votes, this morning I had 92 votes and a score of 4.62.
Why????? I'm not a threat to anyone.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed the story Black. I don't remembered if I PC'd or not, so many stories over a span of time. I know I voted.

Nothing wrong with that, I don't know about Black but Jett and I are USA, not sure on Joey either but I think US.

I read both Halloween's-- 'Mine' first and then 'MT,ET" enjoyed them both.

Yeah, I don't really move in the circles to do so anymore, but I gather tabs are pretty much a thing of the past. I don't know what I would have done without one in college. It got me though the lean times.(The bar served food as well)

I guess that's another casualty of the electronic age. The little store down the street does a full credit workup on you for just their little store.

Glad you're back. It seems every one else has deserted.

I wonder where the GB contingient is? They are usually around and about before this.
