You really worry me sometimes.

You write a long, well-plotted, non-stroke erotic horror thriller and wonder why the reads are a bit low. Go write a flimsy one page romance!

Have you read neonlyte's superb post - like yours - a tad above the usual stuff we all post here.

Last time I saw your score you were in the stratosphere, deservedly. Abyss is a wondergul piece of work. You deserve a  and a :rose:

Great stuff, rg
Hey, watch it there, Elf. I'll have you know my flimsy one page romance has been stuck on 68 votes for days. :)

By the way, you and EL play nice, you hear?

Be nice, I was just looking out for you while you were in therapy.

I've already 5-bombed ya so I can be forgiven. Can we have another neo-Wodehouse for Xmas? Pretty please!

Thank you for looking out for me and for the five-bomb. Hum, a neo-Wodehouse for the Yule season. Might be fun. Thanks for the idea, Elf.

I just did write a flimsy one page romance. And it is dieing! An even worse score than my experimental non-erotic piece.

Shrugs. It was just something I did to cheer a friend up. It succeeded and thus so did I.

And thank you, elfin. Glad you enjoyed it.

Dr. Mabeuse's Leaves

This new story by the revered Doc is one of his best, full of warmth and positive feeling that are often missing from his more complicated tales. I think it will ring true for many people that are taking their significant other for granted. It's one of the few stories I have ever read that drew me in from the very first sentence. I simply HAD to find out what was going to happen to the male protagonist, even though at first he is merely a two dimensional character. Ideally, this story should have a little bit more to do with Halloween, it would be ideal for an "Autumn Contest" if such a thing existed!

Sack :nana: (for the DOC!)

Ogg's fabulous fifteen...

Another new story by Ogg is essentially 15 fifty word tales, ranging from riotously funny through bone chilling to gross. I consider this to be essential reading, each story is complete within itself and stands alone. Great work Ogg, and I hope you win the contest 15 times with this one!

Sack :)

You's jus' gotta have that bit of Southern laid-back cool, DP. The stetson just tipped back at a rakish angle shading the laughter lines that frame the enigmatic Texan smile.

At least, that's how EL calls it. Personally, I go more for the Mid Western homely type. Got any suggestions?

Wellllllll elle.. I just might know this certain Mid Western homely (I'm bein charitable to myself.... butt ugly is more like it) feller who might be receptive to such suggestions.

Morning, DP. Remember what they always say, beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes down to the bone.

You need to go over to Abs' Bohemian Hangout. Minuse just asked to be decapitated. Ent says she feels even worse and the topic of conversation when I left was poisons. A good time is being had by all.

Sounds like an outbeak of 'Litvian Bird Flu'.

I've been bombed twice this morning, which I honestly don't understand. I'm not even in the running for a place. What's up with that?

In that case, you better not attract the attention of Rumps's AV.
Good point, Box. That might be a perfect AV for the contest. Cloudy, the only thing I can figure is it might be a case of "getting back" at you for some comment they disliked. Either that or just damn bad luck.

But being old and, well, old, I know how to cheer you up. Have a big piece of

MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKE
made with Godiva Chocolate.

As long as it's not circling, I'm good. :D

You are in even bigger trouble if it lands on you.

Okay, I'm pretty much officially resigning from my attempts now. The story was coming along, and is short, but I'm liking it less and less. It's too... typical, and not even Lit-typical.

Maybe, but mostly not...

*shrug*

I've read a few, or more, of the submissions, and they're looking pretty good. Read and liked Oggs about the witches.

*hugs* Bohunk! Hope you feel better soon!

QC,I think the deadline is pretty much up now for entries isn't it?

Oh and if anyone's throwing out reads, my little orgy is only a small 'un :p

There is still time...

...if you really want to enter this contest.

I think this one has attracted more entries than any Literotica contest ever.

I have helped swell the pile with five entries even though I am not eligible to win.

There are many great stories and original story-lines this time. I will not draw the trolls' attention to any particular story or author by naming stories or authors' names.

I have read most of those posted by those whose names I recognise, and voted on each one. For a few I have left a PC. Please, do not feel neglected if I haven't left a PC on your story. I find it very difficult to comment meaningfully on other writers' work in a public arena. I appreciate and I am grateful for those who have left PCs on mine. This time I have tried to reciprocate more than in previous contests. Faced with that PC box my muses desert me. I will attempt to leave more before the closing date for the result.

If we (the totality of Literotica authors, that is, not just the AH) can submit so many entries for Halloween, how many can we produce for Valentine's Day 2006? If only 0.1% of Literotica's members wrote one entry each I doubt that we could read them all.

As an aside, I participated as the RL me in two writing contests in the last few months. This year I wasn't even shortlisted. In previous years I have managed the shortlist and one third place. However I understand that one of the contests attracted over 2,000 entries up from last year's 190. Writing is becoming popular.

Congratulations to all those who have braved the trolls and the wrath of anonymous. I hope that most of you think that the added exposure has been worth it and that you have won a few fans of your work.

Og
