Halloween Contest Support Thread

Hey All, I'm working on my Halloween contest story and struggling to keep it under control. It's over 20,000 words and I still have more scenes to go. I'll go back and whittle away at it eventually, but will probably end up adding words as well, lol. My Summer Lovin' entry was 20,000 words and some feedback indicated it was too long.

I'm looking forward to reading the Halloween stories. Good luck, everyone!

:)

Bumping back to the first page.
(Even though I'm not writing one for this.)

Writing? Yes, but not for the Halloween contest. I've finished my two for that.

First contest. Excited and nervous. Half kicking myself for submiting under incest...even though it is incest. There's supernatuaral in it and I've read they don't like it.

Damn, if I may say so myself it is hot. Cousins. Makes me wish I had a hot cousin to fuck. I have turned into a twisted freak since I turned to the dark side of writing erotica ;)

Incest is a pretty good category for a contest. It attracts more readers than any other category except maybe Anal. Sex between first cousins is good, especially if they have a close relationship.

I'm going to try to start my two ideas tonight, and see which one is singing to me the most.

Had a third, but it was a twist upon twist thing that started off giving the impression of horror/non-con, but ended up being something completely different, with a final twist at the end.

The lead-in was so dark, creepy, and alive that I can't bear to waste it on something that turns out as a silly stroke story *laugh* I'll just have to find a dark-creepy plotline to use it in later. I think it was too dark to make a smooth transition, anyway.

I have finished my Halloween story...it's under 1,000 words, crammed with sex and a little something extra.

Did I mention it's in the Erotic Horror category? ;)

Bumping this up. Someone must be writing something.

I think writing for a contest might be fun, but I'm not creative enough to come up with a plot. I'm not a big Halloween person, the the 'winter' holiday, maybe. I'm pretty slow, so I'd have to start now.

No plot, no sexy characters coming to mind.

I was thinking of horror tale where a pack of rabid Englishmen set off on a northward trek to prey on a certain Gaelic blue and white Beastie on a bicycle . . . .

Nah!

Nah!

Buggered to death by rabid Sassenachs? Yes, that would be horrible!

But all I'd need to do to scare them off would be intone the name of that lesser Scots demon that strikes fear into their hearts:

Gordon Brown!

See, they flee in fright, clutching their wallets to their chests lest his famed "financial prudence" bankrupts them!

One story and one poem in progress. Still not heard back whether a poem qualifies, but pressing on regardless. Here's the start of the story:

Aislinn sat by the window of her cottage, looking westwards out the un-shuttered window to where the sun was just sinking over the headland beyond the sea loch. A candle flickered on the windowsill beside her, a beacon for the soul of her beloved to return home on this special night: Samhain, when the veils between the worlds of the living and dead were at their thinnest, when she might hope to hear a faint echo of his voice on the sea breeze.

Is fucking Bigfoot considered Beastiality?

I don't like the way you've capitalised that, missy!

It's a moot point anyway, as you wouldn't survive to be charged. EDITED: so Lit would reject it on grounds of snuff sex, if not beastiality

I think it depends on whether the creatures are sentient or not. Not seen any guidance about semi-sentient creatures (hominids, yeti, bigfoot, Jenny Jackson, etc.).

I don't see that bigfoot is any different than the half man half wolf "Big Bad Wolf" in some of the little red ridding hood stories I've seen here. So I should think Bigfoot would be acceptable...

I'm working on something myself for this one. I have a couple ideas and I'm just seeing how many of them run away with me... That's how it usually works. The good ones run away with me and I'm just along for the ride.

The story worked out perfect for the theme and it just kinda came to me. The muse was feeling gererous. Actually there's first cousins (who are close) and a brief scene with the uncle and brother-in-law (though she's not related to either of them).

I don't want to discredit my readers by saying it's too complicated for them...only I've read those who read in the incest catagory prefer things without elements from elsewhere. I put a disclaimer, but I just hope the fact that it's for Halloween will make it so the unnatural elements will be accepted.

Not that you can please everyone anyway ;)

Just write to please yourself. There will be readers who love it, and those that hate it. In the end (pun not intended) you're the one who has to be satisfied with what you wrote. So write your thoughts and have fun. I'm sure it will be interesting.
Good luck in the contest.:)

TY DG.

Stories in and I am happy with it. First time writing in that genre so I was a little nervous but at worst I'll get some nasty comments. At best some people will be happy.

Coulda been worst. I could have written for loving wives.

I've got probably 50 loving wife stories. Not really as bad as some say. They don't like it when the wife cheats and the husband takes her back. Also wimp husbands get negitive remarks big time. They along with incest get the most readers.

Revenge is a positive in loving wifes, so there are a few clues if you ever decide to post there. Have fun with your writing. Let me know when this story gets posted, I think I'll take a gander at it. I don't read that many stories anymore.
