You can't yet. If the beginning of the titles are similar enough, then the series feature does a fair job of catching them.
For example, it lists "Prelude" and "Epilogue" within the series for Danica in the correct sequence, along with those labeled "pt. xx"
My Magic Of the Wood series still gets listed as individual stories, though, because it's the last half of the title that links them, rather than the beginning.
"Lynn and Lee" and my VR : DQ series get a series listing, because that's the beginning of every title.
Actual ability to organize a series yourself is supposed to be in the cards, but it hasn't been implemented yet.
ick. halloween is not my favorite time of the year.
Because I am such a rookie, I’m hoping that someone can answer a few freshman questions.
“What’s a troll?” and “Are there normally over a hundred entries in each contest?”
Troll, as usually referenced in the thread, refers to someone who drops a vote of 1 on the story. They may not even have read it. They may bomb the whole list just to be irritating. They may be jealous competition, or said competition's fans trying to make their favorite come out on top.
For whatever reason, they vote 1 or something else low on your story that's rather outside the response from other voters/commenters.
The other time that "troll" comes up is in reference to people who leave nasty comments ( often barely comprehensible ) on your story, which have little to nothing to do with the story and absolutely nothing of constructive value.
"shes a skank and u must be askank to if u write crap lik this. u both die of AIDS hahaha!"
That's a troll -- and a mild example compared to some of the reality in categories like Loving Wives
The number of stories in a contest varies. This is a brand new one, so it picked up a lot of entries. All those summer stories that people have posted normally got saved up and put in the contest this time.
Halloween is also popular, and will probably have a lot. Ditto for Winter Holiday, and then Valentines. Earth Day and Nude Day are a little harder to write for the theme, so they may not have quite as many.
No matter what, there's always a lot of competition.
Are you writing a Halloween SKANK story, Dark?![]()

The only thing I like about Halloween is the candy. How do you make Candy Corn sexy/erotic?

Vampire penis meets man-eating vigina. I like it![]()

When I was new here, I wrote a troll satire, which can be found via the link in my sig line. To add authenticity to the story, I didn't delete any of the derogatory comments the anonymous trolls added. Some of them are pretty funny.
The other definition for troll is in the context of a forum like this one, where the troll shows up in a thread and posts shit to annoy, rather than contribute. I've done that myself, more out of indignation than a desire to be an asshole, but the outcome is still the same.

I was just at the summer love-in contest thread.
Personally, just as you pointed out Princess, I thought my story was to long.
Now there seems to be some contention among a few of the seasoned writers that long is good.
As the new-be on the block. Does anyone have any input or thoughts on the matter?
I had an idea last year that fizzled on me, inspired by the Alice Cooper song "Wind-Up Toy" I thought I had it all down -- so far as to put together a cover image for it to put up on my website. Then, a short distance in, I stumbled across a huge plot hole that I couldn't find any way to deal with. I tossed the cover and partial story into the fizzle folder, and forgot about it.
Inspiration hit me today at work. Here's part of the hastily scrawled notes in my nigh-but indecipherable chicken scratching *laugh*

Two pages of more or less new stuff running on the same general plotline as the original idea, and paving over that plot hole.
I think that it might just see the light of day -- or rather the dark of night -- this year.![]()
