Man Pleads Guilty to Murder Threat Against Marjorie Taylor Greene.

A man from Atlanta has entered a guilty plea to charges of making interstate threats to murder Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Sean Patrick Cirillo, aged 34, faces a potential prison term of up to five years and will be sentenced on November 7.

Cirillo was accused of calling Greene‘s Washington D.C. office on November 8, 2023, where he made alarming statements to her staff. According to court documents, he stated he had “a bead on her like a sniper rifle” and threatened, “I’m gonna kill her next week.” Additionally, he said, “I’ll kill you too if you want,” and referenced “shoot[ing] her in the f****** head.”

Federal prosecutor Ryan K. Buchanan for the Northern District of Georgia condemned Cirillo’s actions in a statement released on Tuesday. “Threatening to kill a public official is reprehensible,” Buchanan emphasized. Additionally, he reiterated the commitment of his office, alongside federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, to not tolerate any forms of violence, threats, or intimidation against public officials.

Paying attention....

So why, then, is there no outrage about the justice system engaging in "lawfare" against Sean P. Cirillo?

Where are the screams of injustice when Trump and his followers make these same kind of threats with impunity, then cry "weaponized justice" every time they get prosecuted for it?

So the guy didn’t plead the fifth over 500 times while simultaneously declaring his innocence???

🤔

Weird.

😑

It was a right-wing conspiracy!! They gathered to get this guy! He did nothing wrong!

Tell me who the victim is…

What lunacy!

You're an election denier who supports a wannabe dictator who wants to imprison his political opponents.

Since when did you start caring about politicians health?

Sounds like the law is being enforced. MTG for as bad as she is I don't even think her passing would accomplish anything.

Kill enough people, assuming you have a good reason, and the survivors will eventually quit doing whatever it was that gave you reason to the kill the others.

Right or wrong, the logic is reasonably sound.

If there was ANY EVIDENCE of what you claim, those making the threats would have been arrested and prosecuted.

Since they haven't been, one can only conclude that YOU LIED when you made those claims.

You don't need a good reason as you acknowledge at the bottom. Eventually, at least in theory you hit a tipping point. That however is a strong theory you're building on. Maybe you kill enough people that the survivors just decide it doesn't matter any more and are just out to spite you.

NGL if I were living in Gaza at this point I would be full on spite. No greater goal than to make sure when the history books were were written it said "Man, maybe we should have just let him have a cookie"
