Government shutdown over illegals?

I'm sure you think you have a point. Just like the poster above you that doesn't realize there are tons of signs demonstrating the utter ignorance, racism and vulgarity of anti-immigration folks.

The article is factual and pointed, but of course you want to play the shoot the messenger game. Convenient.

There's a reason I titled the link as such.

Thank you to you two "gentlemen" for proving the accuracy of my verbiage.

tee hee

The defense of the bad behavior of the beautiful Dreamers (They don't even think we should be a nation.) is that the other side has "deplorable" signs. You keep that up, because it clearly wins elections for Team Democrat.

Hell, I gave your link the same amount of time that I give a busybody link. ZERO. I know that you two are the opposite sides of a minted Looney.

I read through it. The article portrayed the white washed version of how chain migration is painted, not how it works in practice. They completely ignore the fact that it's a geometric progression. They also hold out the notion that Trumps offer would exclude immediate family (spouse and children), it doesn't. It's the dem talking points.

The messenger?

Did you know that Ms. Muñoz is Vice President, Policy and Technology and Director for the New America National Network?

Did you know the New America National Network is funded by George Soros' Open Society Foundations?

So, La Raza is calling the shots now. At least it's a secret out in the open.

You'd damn sure think so and they make it sound sooooooo compassionate.

They use the line that mommy and daddy need to be let in to babysit the kids completely ignoring the fact that mommy and daddy will soon be on medicare/medicaid and God only knows how many other welfare benefits without ever having paid a damn penny into the system.

The automatic response to a statement like that is, "THOSE PEOPLE PAY TAXES!!!" What, does that give them more integrity than Al Capone?

I can't be bothered to read through this whole thread, but did anyone point out that the answer to this thread title is "No".

The main sticking point of the spending agreement was DACA recipients. DACA recipients are not "illegals".
They had a promise from the government of the US that they had a path to citizenship and so permission from the US government to remain in the US. That means they are here legally.

The answer to your post is that they ARE illegals and no path to citizenship was EVER promised in the EO that Obama issued. The regulations regarding that EO can be found in post #26 in this thread.

They became illegals on the day they reached their majority. That's the law sparky.

They are illegal. As President Obama himself pointed out, what he did in ordering DACA was unconstitutional, he did not have that authority. He was unwilling to negotiate with the Congress on a final solution, just as his party continues to be unwilling to negotiate in good faith. They like holding these beautiful children, these unassailable victims, as political hostages. The Congress and Trump are clearly willing to make them legal, but the Democrats don't want this perfect issue taken away from them with an election looming and they do not want to hand Trump a "victory" because they are sick and tired of all that winning. Not only is the economy responding to Trump, but from Warsaw to Davos, he proved not to be a clown (and that includes his renewed ties to Israel).

Good luck. Thing is these dupes are so wrapped up in their insecurity that anything other than blatant statements and support of white pride or the equivalent feels threatening to them. It's all so... so.

When we speak out over illegal immigration, we are speaking up for citizens, not whites. That means Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, Black Americans, Oriental Americans, Americans whom immigrated legally, no matter where they come from and linked to that is an ability to get a job in which true competition leads to rising wages.

You are nothing more than a garden-variety racialist whose rhetorical and logical constructs are relegated not to sound argument, but to the idea that anyone who does not believe as you do is a "RACIST!" (A deplorable racist.) As I stated before, you should keep this up, because it is surely the way to win the hearts and minds of the white people whom are your direct targets as well as the minorities who have to compete with illegals either educationally, or vocationally.

We want more of this:

"At 15, I arrived in the United States with a suitcase full of clothes, a picture of my golden retriever and the excitement of starting my new life. That was 10 years ago. Last month, the day after I graduated from college, I got on a nonstop flight that carried me and my new journalism degree away from the place I call home, back to a place my family and I once waved goodbye to. I am unsure I will be allowed to reenter."

https://hotair.com/archives/2018/01/27/illegal-alien-says-goodbye-america/

I wonder, was he "carried across? At least he's taking the family with him and enriching Mexico with all his new talents.

"That education came at a high cost. Ninety percent of my income went toward tuition. Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for federal financial aid. I found myself busing and waiting tables in small local restaurants where background checks were not a priority. After very full days, I would come home late at night to work on the homework due the next day. Despite the financial stress and workload, however, school was the only place I felt normal. I was treated just like an American there, even though English wasn’t my native language. No one questioned whether I held a green card. I was rewarded for my hard work."

This goes to my remarks as to who hires illegals. Hint: It's not corporate America.

"There were no opportunities for me. My employment prospects were reduced to zero not by any lack of skills, but by the absence of a nine-digit number. Higher education in the United States is basically pointless for the undocumented. [emphasis, mine] The only jobs available are those that ordinary Americans don’t want: housekeeping, landscaping, field work. And so I decided to take my chances in Mexico, where no one will question my eligibility to work or use me as a scapegoat for economic problems."

I'm a VICTIM!!! (Not a criminal!)

This is why we need E-verify! Hold mom and Pop America accountable for helping illegals skirt the law.

That't the other meme that the 'shit for brains' on the left are trying to do, link anti-illegal immigration to anti-immigration as a whole. Those motherfuckers will lie about anything to get their way.

No it doesn't. Only the Congress has the plenary authority to determine who qualifies for citizenship and who doesn't. Obama's order was admittedly unconstitutional and the courts agreed. They were never legal, they aren't legal now, they are technically subject to arrest. Congress can make them legal if it desires, however Republicans will want conditions that put a stop to this amnesty cycle that benefits Democrats politically, and Democrats will resist a final solution that will shut the door on their illegal vote generation conspiracy forever.

True. It demonstrates how pervasive the language trap is that I walked into it.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. You're on the right side of the argument. You defend the nation, the others are supporting its demise.

I don't lose sleep, I usually find it. in fact, I'm ready for a brunch and a nap on my warm, sun-soaked couch.
