Today is Friday Flag Wave. It's something we've done every Friday since 9-11 happened. It's non-political, just a Thank You to our Frist Responders & Military for the great jobs they do everyday.

Today will be extra special since I will have my Aussie Flag out to wave in honor of Webbo a very dear old Lit friend who is retired last week after 30 years in the Oz Army. I'm making a sign and we are going to take pictures to post for him on Facebook.

Over in Lakeland yesterday they had a huge Pay It Forward Merry Christmas chain happen at the drive thru. almost 6 hours long & 250 people who paid meals for each other.

This morning I heard a noise outside my front door. Then a big dog barking. But I don't have a dog .
I peeked out and this big boy had a cat treed and was so proud of himself.
He came right over to me for a couple hugs and his belly scratched so he was sweet.
Our local PD has a pet scanner for chips so I called the non-emergency number & had a cruiser drop by.
Between PD & posting on a few village Facebook walls he should be home by this afternoon.

There are only 2 working clothing dryers in the hotel laundry room at the moment...after my wash was done, the dryers were still full but nobody was coming to retrieve their clothing. Rather than just pull their stuff out of the dryer and leave it on top in a crumpled heap like people commonly do, I folded it and stacked it neatly. And now that I write this I realize I am glad there were no intimates, as that may have been awkward.

I gave a girl who works for me an advance on her next paycheck. She's late on her rent.

Daughter and I went out shopping for two kids from our church who are less fortunate than we are...

LMAO.... yeppers that would have freaked me to have you fold my underwear...
But then I'd not leave my undies or clothes there and tie up a dryer either.
I sure don't miss life on the road. :rose:

Not so nice thing happened while working on a good deed....

I got jumped by some old guy for using my handicapped parking permit while out buying the last big ham for the First Responder Christmas dinner. Apparently he thought he needed it more then I did even though I was coming out from shopping & he just got there.. plus he was a whole 3 feet more away from where I was at.

As someone said before no good deed goes unpunished.

Sad, but true. I appreciate all you do for Vets Starry :rose:

today's Stealth Elf mission was dropping off 2 fresh warm cranberry coffee cakes. One to my PCP Doctor's office and the other to my Police Station team in records who work Operation Santa Clause each year.

Score 2 for the Stealth Elf! :nana:

Odd story

This falls under the odd category

A co-worker lost her brother during Thanksgiving. He's been ill in the past, but currently on the mend, yet died suddenly in his sleep.

When she returned to work, she found my condolence card. When she stopped by to thank me for the card, I reflexively asked if she needed any thing (I was thinking she might need help moving his stuff out of her basement). Surprisingly, she asked if I'd make her some biscotti.

So I was thinking about her odd request and made some over the weekend. On Monday, i left a gift bag on her desk.

Today, with tears in her eyes, she thanked me. Evidently, her her brother also made biscotti

That is so cool!
I'd make her some more later when she looks down too.

OMG... someone needs to smack the back of my head.

I spent the day over hanging out with a friend whose just out of the hospital from a knee replacement. Her partner left ne of the kids home to help her today so at 9 am I get a text... I'm hungry & the boys doesn't cook. So I packed up some food & took her over granola bars, bread, ham & swiss then make her a sandwiches. 4 barking dogs, 1 hyper 12 year old, 3 chickens, a bitchy cat and her screaming over a loud TV.

She's crazy. I don't cook for myself & she thinks I am gonna run over to make her bacon & eggs??? Then she only ate 3 bites and was feeling sick from post surgery ick.
