Good deeds done today

This is a wonderful thread and I hate that I can't contribute to it. What a jerk.

This is the most touching thread...reading the posts have really lifted my heart:heart:

Was an Anonymous Angel for a 17 yo boy and a 17 yo girl.
This will be their last year to get a gift...community services consider them adults when they are 18 yo

Dropped off a 10 pound ham to my needle Doc for Christmas he is medically retired and disabled but he still keeps a few special military friends around and works on us to keep us going.

Dropped off a toy for Toys for Tots. It's my favorite charity this time of year.

xmas shopping for my kids...all grown up but broke as Hell....sent my new daughter-in-law a sewing machine she wanted...sent my daughter $$$ for college books and feeding herself....typically daddy stuff....

Assisted a newbie wheelchair user at therapy today and showed him to manouever it around better. I got a stern look from the therapist when I showed him how to do a wheelie and spin in a circle. She made me give him his chair back and told him to forget doing those things. She was tougher on me later when she worked me over, but I gave her a hug and wished her a good weekend and made her smile. :)

Helped another wheelchair user at shopping and got several items off top shelves for her. She was very thankful that I offered, she hated asking for help, but didn't mind if it was done graciously as a kindness.:rose:

I went to the grocery store and took all the left over names off the Salvation Christmas Tree. No more little kiddos in the house to buy gifts for and I miss it. Love buying presents for the kids. I think I get more out of it than they do.

Truely awesome. Incase you run out of names before you get tired of buying, I can send my wish list your way.:D

Unless harmlessly flirting with the granny at the local convenience store is considered a good deed. Then I am not up to snuff today and will have to see what tomorrow brings.

Today was a rare ME day. still recovering from the needle beat down by the doc yesterday
but I'm still able to move the shoulder he worked on. I got a text after lunch that my neighbors needed me.
D had surgery today to replace a knee replacement that failed. It ran late & long so I ran over to pick
up the boys from school... and being the cool unofficial Aunt I bought them Burger Kind for dinner:D

Where were you when I was stuck in one off and on for my 2 years??
I got good knocking stuff down with my cane and catching it.

You ROCK!!!

Put together a large shopping bag of donations to the thrift shop.
Some were gifts to me that I don't want or use.
I also put in there a battery powered bubble maker...hahahaaaa

Just because I like bubbles...

Trimmed my holly tree and donated those clippings too.
Ho Ho Ho

Pointed out spelling errors in someone's profile so they could fix them :)

I drove my aunt to the VA in the pouring rain so she could have a procedure done on her back this morning.

Picked up a bunch of ribbon and tape that fell to the floor from a display that an elderly woman knocked over with her shopping cart. Then walked with her over to the boxed Christmas cards because she was having trouble finding them. She was so sweet and kind. :)

I bought diapers and formula for one of my employees who confessed to me that she can't afford the essentials. It breaks my heart that she has to worry about feeding her baby.

That is really sad. I've done stuff similar to what you did.

I spent the day hanging out with my mom.. she was having a rough day, but having me there seem to calm her. I'm not sure if I can call that a good deed...I could do for the rest of my life and never equal all she did for me.

Today I helped a lady carry a Yeti cooler she had bought out to her car. She was struggling with it so I grabbed it for her, after asking her if she wanted help, and carried it for her. Dang those Yetis are heavy.

So back in October, I was running laps on this one rapid and was then playing in it at the bottom. I was on river left, when I noticed an inflatable kayak, or ducky as we call them, having trouble. So I as trying to get myself in a good position to help pick up the pieces if they flipped. Before I could get in place they flipped and had both occupants swimming. I noticed one of the swimmers, who was all the way over on river right, was a little boy of about 4 or 5. If that old. So I got friend of mine who was on river right in an eddy to go get the boy. I saw his paddle floating down stream, so I peeled out and gave it chase. Caught the paddle, through it up on shore, pulled my boat onto a rock, hopped out, got the other swimmer and her ducky up on shore. Then I got in the water, which is about 48°F and pulled the ducky and lady back towards the crying boy. Let him know I saved his paddle as they got reunited. Got back in my boat ferried over to where his paddle was, picked it up and left mine on the bank. Attained back up to the eddy they were in. Handed the boy his paddle. Peeled out, hand paddled down and retrieved my paddle.
