Did you know...

...that after USA taxpayers bailed-out General Motors, 7 out of every 10 GM cars are now built outside the USA?

Our commitment to working in [Communist] China, with [Communist] China, for [Communist] China remains strong and focused on the future.

...We're now building out the advanced technology center which will bring our research and development that is largely centered in the United States, we're going to diversify that more in to [Communist] China because we think this market is so critically important to the success of our company.

...GM is a company well established for the future of [Communist] China.

...We continue to invest heavily in [Communist] China to ensure our long term success.

- Dan Akerson, CEO of General Motors, addressing reporters in Shanghai, Communist China, February 2011

Akerson also calls [Communist] China:

The crown jewel in the GM universe.

Government didn't ask your permission when they bailed out GM with your tax money...

...but you can do something about it now:

BOYCOTT
GM

And let it die its deserved death in the hands of the Communist Chinese...

You are a bit late on that insight. I doubt we can put a stop to it now. Those wheels were set in motion before Obama.

You can thank the now out of work auto workers for supporting the labor unions in their major role on that slap in our face in that respect.

factcheck.org/2012/06/is-gm-becoming-china-motors/ says "The video has received more than half a million views on YouTube since it was posted May 4. The narrator, a man who gives his name as Vince Wade, asks: “Did we bail out GM so that it could become a Chinese company?”

It’s a fair question. The short answer is, “No.”"

Overall, the video gives a one-sided picture. And on a couple of points it misleads. Here we offer a more complete and accurate picture, so readers may decide for themselves how they feel about GM’s dealings in China.

So where's the part about GM being communist?

I didn't see anything about it in the article. Let's be realistic. GM is a multinational company building cars and components in over a dozen + countries with 80% of the domestic offerings being assembled in the USA or Canada.

As far as the whole "Made in China" thing the vid is talking about, well it just makes economic sense to build cars for that market in that country. Even Ford and Chrysler are doing the same thing.

Honda did it, so did Mazda, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and a host of other car manufacturers who built assembly plants in the USA for this market. GM isn't doing anything different from any other car manufacturer.

The other thing I hear a lot of bitching about is aftermarket parts being assembled in China and how "substandard" these parts are as opposed to domestic parts. SEMA and NHTSA controls the regulations regarding aftermarket parts and as such assure that the parts are up to OEM standards for quality and warranty compliance.

So, the complaint about "cheap Chinese parts" is a bunch of BS.

Would it be better if those parts were made domestically? Maybe so, as far as the overall employment picture goes. But as far as quality vs. price.. ehhh it isn't going to matter that much other than domestically produced parts will cost more. Since the consumer drives the market, obviously the parts that cost less and still meet OEM specs are going to control a bigger share.

This maybe isn't the best solution, but that is the way it is..

The end of union pay for G.M. employees, ship the work overseas.

I heard the Ford Pinto is very popular in China.

The government is using it as a form of population control.

Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous commie plot we have ever had to face?

I guess nobody read the part where the CAW is poised to go on strike because the automakers are showing a profit again and the workers deserve part of it....what a fucking joke
