I saw excerpts of that when the film was profiled in Rolling Stone magazine. Baker certainly was one of a kind musician. Not that great a person, though.

It is a very unsettling film that ends with Baker whacking the film-maker with his cane.

In the film's interviews, I got the impression that Eric Clapton was still being careful to avoid triggering Baker, even decades after finally shedding him as a drummer in his bands.

This film shows how difficult it is for some people to "prove themselves".

He was a wholly unique musician. About a week ago I saw the Cream reunion show on TV, he still sounded like Ginger. I don't think he was as great at he thought he was, but still interesting. The trio record he did with Bill Frisell and Charlie is cool, but I haven't heard it in a while.

Watching it in its entirety for the first time.

Guy was a first-class trainwreck.

Blew his entire fortune in 1976 investing in his own polo team.

His daughter: "He left my mum for my first boyfriend's sister"

I saw Cream play three times in their brief incarnation. Baker's personality problems ruined any hope of building creative chemistry in that band.

Each time I saw them play, the tension on stage became more palpable. Their first album made a big splash, but there was very little creative growth in their musical performances.

Baker led a tortured life. It seems like he had a very difficult time admitting when he was on the wrong track.
