Get Well StarryNightin64

So Yesterday I quit the Patriot Guard Riders. After 10 years of standing in the flag line it was a pretty easy choice. Their state guy did his investigation of the ride captain I’ve been having harassment issues with for a year now only because I got hold of national PGR. This unprofessional, nasty, rude, old white retired cop came down and interrupted our Honor Flight Welcome Home event to grill me in front of my Honor Flight boss at a key time where we are in set up mode. About a PGR issue, NOT and HF issue (strike 1).

Mr. Retired cop has his story all lined up in place. That story is basically I’m a liar, a racist and not even a PGR member. Mr. Bad rude captain walls on water. (strike 2 +) I emailed complaining and his national guy is fine with that. (big strike 3). Why would anyone be OK with your state guy coming in and doing this… and yes he said those things to me in front of my boss. Somewhere here is a legal issue of slander and more I’m sure.

So I quit, sick to my stomach that I’ve even wasted a day on a group that OK with doing these things. Harassment of women, covering it up, making accusations I’m a racist and a liar, that none of the verbal altercations or the attempted physical one even happened.

Sadly, the PGR, started with the best of intentions, devolved into chaos and petty politics less than two years after inception. Sorry you got caught up in the bullshit, starry and I hope you are doing well.

Hey sweetie.... (if I call you that does it make me sexist??) I'm sorry I wasted 10 years of my life standing in a flag line (sometimes in casts & slings) to be treated like this. Harassment & slander are ugly things & they should hope they never hit lawyers beyond the WBC.

2 weeks of PT down & doing really pretty good all things considered. The pain level is still hanging at 4 /5 on days I'm out of the house, driving or using the shoulder.

How have you been??

I was a founding member of the PGR in this area. We had a noble purpose and some great people. That quickly went to hell as egos overcame common sense.

I am glad you are healing. Maybe when we both heal we can go for a ride. :rose:

Awwwe :rose:
I've never been on a bike except for once when I was little.
I even turned down riding with a 4 star general once.

I wouldn't ride with a 4 star general either*L*

:D :D :D

I wasn't worried about him or any of my guys who ride...
it's the old Q-tip drivers we have peering between the dash & wheel to drive
and the young ones on their phones texting that make me worry.

UPDATE

I saw the ortho yesterday. He's a very happy camper. Both he & the needle Doc are happy about how things are healing up. I'm still off track on how my shoulder moves so the bones are rubbing / grinding some still but I can get my arm up almost over my head. The only one not happy is my PT guy. He doesn't like my holistic choices...the acupuncture, the cupping or the KT Tape. But then none of that is anything he can do & charge Humana for so oh well. He's watching me also with the essential oils and using food to control the inflammation levels too. Those are my choices just like his man bun is his choice (I will never understand a man bun) but I don't say anything cause really what does it matter... just like my holistic choices. All 3 Docs are ok with what I do so that's all that matters.

Humana Pharmacy has been driving me nuts. They don't like me taking so many inflammation meds... well I'm allergic to Tylenol what would you suggest? and one of those is a topical not oral meds.... ummmm can we say OOOPS! Then once that was cleared up then it was they didn't like how my pain meds were written... not how often I fill them cause I use under the amount scripted. So for 2 days I had to run between St Pete & Tampa to try & get paper scripts (thank you DEA) then get them to clear before my Ortho leaves on vacation tomorrow. I was down to 1 pill once it finally cleared today. Otherwise I'd have been camping outside of surgery today for a 3rd script to make Humana Pharmacy happy.

I'm so tired. It's days like this I feel like I need a keeper with a good aim to smack people who are messing with me.

Best laugh yet...

My ortho wrote up new instructions for my PT. The ortho staff faxed them to my new PT team. I have a copy I dropped off at the PCP & took with me this morning to PT. I just got a call from the Physical Therapy people at the Ortho complex wanting to know when I would like to set up my new appointment. Once I pulled myself off the floor from laughing so hard I almost cried I said when Hell freezes over. Seriously they thought I was going to come back after the crap they put me thru??? ummmmm. NO!

<sigh> I got kicked out of PT this morning thanks to the PCP's Office Manager. The 21st I dropped off the new script for PT with her then took a copy to PT with me on the 23rd. The Office manager processed everything but coded it wrong. The PT's office called her 2 times between then & now. Seriously the office manager didn't listen to her messages, she just assumed they didn't get the referal number and refaxed it. PT called me & said they needed a good referal number so I called Humana & got it. Then this morning once the PT's office finally told me why the referal number wasn't good, it was coded wrong.

I went to the PCP's office and had it fixed. 10 minutes of my time but it almost cost me a whole week. I asked the PT team 3 times before to let me know if she messed up & they didn't. Thankfully the PT can get me in at 8 am Friday so I am still on track. BUT I am a biatch again <rolls eyes> I realize working in a medical office isn't deadline oriented but geeze am I wrong to expect something that simple be done right the first time, or with a simple error at least the first time the PT's team calls asking for help??

Is there any reason you cannot switch to another PCP?

The doctor's office works FOR YOU.
The PT's office should be working WITH you.

Both have failed, yet again.

yep and they are both scared of me now.
but still can't get something that simple handled correctly.

yet I am the bitch

No, you're not a bitch. You're someone who's up on their medical care.
A bitch is the person who goes into the PCP office without an appoint, demands to be seen, then is whining when they're told it's just a cold.

The PT's office was afraid I was gonna go in the PCP's office screaming.
I looked at them and asked...
Seriously ??? you think I need to scream to get this fixed???
I don't scream but I can assure you they are scared of me
and they will get this fixed now.

The term is called "withholding of needed medical services"

I had this happen to me once. All I did was call up the PCP and asked to talk to the office manager, who clicked on her computer, and I heard, "Oh shit! I'm sorry. " another click, then "You can see the PT now."

I got "I know I faxed it over to them a couple times." She never even listened to their message to her.
That's when I had to tell her it was coded wrong & they wouldn't tell me which code it was.
It turned out to be ALL of the codes were wrong.

Right now I am watching the Direct TV tech screw around with my DISH while
trying to reinstall the 2 Direct TV dishes that belong to the eejits up front.
My DISH guy is coming Saturday to give me new equipment anyway, but
watching this jerk kill my DISH is pissing me off.
When I was Microsoft / X box we didn't screw with Play Station of Nintendo's displays.
You don't touch what isn't yours.

Mine was a "clerical error": someone didn't fax over the authorization. Manager just clicked the "fax" over and emailed a copy of the authorization as well.

I'm kinda ticked at the PT office because I told them she screws things up & let me know.
They assumed I was a bitch and let it go, now they see what I meant.
They knew I was pissed and only because they called me & got me in Friday 8 am
to keep this week on track this week do I believe they were not fibbing about calling her.
Plus Officer Manager saying she faxed it over at least 2 times admits she didn't even listen to the message or call them back:rolleyes:
They should all be glad I can't fire them directly cause it makes me wonder how much is screwed up on these older people.

I can't imagine how the older people are screwed.

I can't imagine how the older people are screwed.

That's why since I am on Medicare disability I turn anyone in whose dumb enough to mess with me.
I can just imagine the old people they are screwing. I had one at home PT
who tried to charge me a $10 cash co pay to come in my door. fake paperwork & all.
Turns out someone in the office was shredding the fake papers & taking a "cash tip" from several patients.
Seriously people the amount of bad Karma coming your way for doing that is UGLY!!!!

There are many medical support clerks doing this around the country. This contributes to why medical insurance more expensive than it should be.

You are so right.
I'm so tired of having to stay on top of every little thing because 7 out of 10 people don't care about doing their jobs.

Not sure which is worse....
Dealing with the heat inside the house (feels like 97 outside and more like 110 inside)
Or dealing with the harder shoulder pain that's popped up in a new area since they started me on weight training machines Friday.
Been packed in ice most the day trying to sleep thru it.
Thank God for pain meds and CBD oil / canna caps.

Not sure if I'll do the parade tomorrow. I may just hang out with Fire Rescue before they bring up the end of the parade. The parade lines up here by my house around the park next door.
