Get Well StarryNightin64

Great to see you doing so well! The PGR's need you!:heart:

I need them!
Honor Flight Welcome home is Tuesday night.
All the support teams work together to make the front end happen smoothly.
My PGR ride Capt helps with getting volunteers to push vets in wheel chairs
& if I am short Honor Guard they help me create Honor Guard out of ROTC.
It ALL truly is a team effort. I'm just the traffic cop at the front whose butt
gets chewed if it goes down wrong.

Hey there! Hope you are doing well. Haven't seen you lately on FB, but actually haven't been on there much myself. :rose:

You seem to be doing well. Everything OK and you are recovering nicely?:rose::rose:

Hey there! Hope you are doing well. Haven't seen you lately on FB, but actually haven't been on there much myself. :rose:

Some of the people on Facebook who I do support work with have given me shit about turning my cell off to be able to sleep. So to limit my stress I've not been on a lot. One whose a CNA even has been stalking me there cause I kicked her ass out of my house on surgery day when she brought 1 of her kids over. I didn't even have the hospital stink off me yet, the nerve block was fading and I needed to be sleeping not playing house party.

I'm still sleeping a lot. Plowing thru a couple books a day. I've not had the TV on since before surgery. Just this week turned the radio on while in the shower and also listened to a couple pod casts. I'd rather sleep a lot with less/ lighter meds then feel fuzzy. No home Healthcare this time because I want access to REAL PTs (w/ Medicare they send me stupid, lazy ass people who don't know what to do with me since I'm not 80) and I'm not normally Ms Social Thang anyway.

This time I asked for a PT whose military with wounded warrior /multiple injuries experience so I don't have to research out my own recovery. And to be honest it's MUCH easier on me than hanging with some ball playing jock. Last one I had for PT made me throw a ball into a net and I was supposed to step side ways and catch the ball. Then do it again back the opposite way. I do not throw balls. I do not do sports. I protested this before the little whiney ass made me do it. When the freaking ball hit me in the face, he got "The Hand" and I was over it. NEVER again did he make me do stupid ass sports crap.

So I have an attitude since this is tendon #5 and surgery #5. I've had to keep my hat & broom handy and STILL let loose the flying monkeys a couple of times. My Lit friends have been the MOST supportive. My military medical friends have had my back and saved my ass big time. My ortho team has treated me like a rock star holding their breath to see what it looks like when I roll in may 10th. They know I've been doing the Black Ops prePT with my needle Doc like last time. Right now my range of motion at 3 weeks was farther then a friend's at 5 months out with PT before and after surgery.

The worst is my hair is a messy braid, I get bad chills and anytime I do physical stuff I'm a complete sweaty melt down. OOOO and I now have blisters on my right hand from the rope I use to pull my myself up in bed.

Do you think it would be rude to just make a huge sign that says
"Seriously people I just had surgery. No house party will be going on!! "

Goals made for the day!! :rose:

and I know it ticks some people off BUT...
Lit Play Grounder friends are seriously the BEST and most supportive friends! :rose:

Feel better soon Starry!:rose:

Thank You so much for the other day.
it helps when I have someone to pass notes too :D
I've been looking for your thread while up on the laptop.
If you get a chance can you pop me the link???

I'm waiting on meds to hit cause the dang bicep is burning.
I did a load of laundry so I'd have some clean clothes & a fresh bed
but that whole moving wet clothes messes me up right now.

I survived the Honor Flight Welcome Home event. Yes I hurt & I get needles later today.

There were 2 jack-wagons whose butts had to be shut down tonight for being rude assed jerks. Thank God I had access to 10 of the finest Sheriff's Deputies in my county who had my back. Several active duty lady officers as witnesses, some bag pipers who asked that one jerk be removed to baggage claim for future events and a couple of very cool lady bosses who listened. I've gotten very little sleep tonight not just because my shoulder is hurting but also because one of the jerks was ALLOWED to be there in a capacity to cause further issues after I had asked that he not be allowed to jump me a 3rd time at one of our family events. So I put in a written request with a promise I will call national if he's allowed to jump me ever again. 3 times is enough.

I'm hitting another hot shower & set of pain meds to try to get some sleep. I do not handle egotistical drama and childish temper tantrums well from people who are adult professionals.

Keep up the good work and don't let the A-holes wear you down!:rose:

:rose: Thank you for your service & support.
especially support on this matter has helped me.
that one A hole used to be our state guy & was forced to step down.
being his target isn't fun & honestly you'd think it should be NOT acceptable to any of them.
no one cares since it's just me that he's doing this too. They all still want ot be his buddy

I talked to one of my lady ride captains about Tuesday night's event and the PGR ass who tried to shoulder check me in the sling on purpose just missing me. I called our state co captain guy on him again with a back up in writing offering to call national on this if they didn't get it fixed. This was the 3rd time he's messed with me at an HF event. I really don't see why I should need to get a restraining order for them to just stop letting him be ride captain at my events.

Then the other jackass (retired cop) had a temper tantrum and will probably get his whole group evicted from the front end at HF Welcome Home. Apparently he also messed with the bag pipers not just with me. I processed their complaint up the line to my boss as well as my own.

The stress has made the pain worse this week but I saw needle Doc yesterday & I've still had some progress. So thee was a positive to this week.

I am in bad need of a real grocery run but will try & get in what I am able to deal with. I'm gonna ask Santa for a body guard /cabana boy cause he's gotta care right???

You could use a cabana boy. *careful hugs*
Love the fact you're healing.
Hate the A-holes that makes things difficult.

I'm needing some in real life now but it's not going to happen.
The new bicep is still burning bad & my shoulder is clunking now. Doc says it's still ok. I am just needing to go back to resting more.

My wing lady looked at me at dinner much later that night and asked if it was a full moon. besides the 2 jerks we had a run in with the TSA too.

When we were unloading to set up that night a new TSA lady who had never worked this event came out and told us we couldn't unload or set up and tried to tell us everything was changed into a normal flight. She got pissed at me because I wouldn't accept what she was telling me. I refused to talk to her bigger people because I have 2 bosses there & another on the plane headed in from DC whose orders I follow... NOT her people. AFTER we reloaded my truck THEN she finds out we are correct and ok to do what we always do. She took off and hid her embarrassed little ass. I had to report her when I signed in the team. Because she had jumped us & tried to stop us from doing our jobs.

Thanks :rose: to a suggestion from a retired LEO friend who is also PGR in another state...I called the local deputy who is our security guy for my troop support team. He was pissed over the same issues & had the same concerns with what has happened. WHY don't these PGR guys care about this big guy's threatening behavior that's escalated to physical (with me)... PLUS I am not the only female he's messed with at this point. I still don't know what he's done to her but I've just heard she refuses to be at any event if he is there no matter what job she is booked for.

I'm to keep my security guy in the loop but it sounds like I am getting a shadow for the next welcome home event. At this point he doesn't trust them at all. I'm also to not let the jerk get me alone anywhere. I feel a LOT better since talking to him and no nightmares last night.

It's nice to know someone cares and I don't have to worry about this alone

It's always nice to have back up. ;)

I made it thru monthly funeral duty with no one messing with me. It was hot and sweaty and I did dinner after with my wing lady and our favorite WWII Wave. It wiped me out but I managed it!!!

TODAY
<sigh> I have learned more pharmacy crap with this surgery then ever. Just took my new pain meds script in to fill. It has to be a paper script due to the DEA requirements. The ortho team wrote the last one and this one based on my old pre- surgery script not the POST surgery level they had me taking the meds. So now I can't have this script filled until the 9th. I have a day and a half meds here then I am out. So IF they write me a new script I have to drive over to temple terrace to pick it up or do without meds till Friday if they can transfer the script to South Tampa and fill it for Saturday.

OK so I'm stuck for 5 days layering in otc Aleve around 1 vico to make it to Monday when I can fill my script. They wanted to try Tramadol but I can't mix that with the vicos because it effects your breathing and I'd rather wake up on the mornings hurting then be dead.

today I finally find out if they are going to let me out of this sling. They got my pain meds back in order on Monday and I'm still trying to regain a balance on the pain. Aleve was never meant to be used like I had to the last 5 days but I made it.

I miss real sleep and real food.

Good luck. Losing the sling is a step forward but go easy on that shoulder! :rose:

Man ... that had to be really frustrating. Glad you made it through but sorry to know how hard it had to be. :rose::kiss:
