Okay, it's time I get up off my lazy ass and work it off.. I'm not quite ready to invest time and money into a gym yet.. so while I was out pity shopping today  I bought

The Method: PILATES Target specifics: Abs, Arms, Hips, Thighs.. with Jennifer Kries.

and

Basic Yoga Workout For Dummies with Sara Ivanhoe.

Has anyone tried this Pilates method, and what did/do you think of the results?

I got the yoga because I've always wanted to do it, and I wanted to see if it would be a good de-stressifier (I think I just made that word up?!)

Sucky thing.. my VCR isn't working :(

Does Richard Simmon's Imitation...

Work it, Work it ladies.... your beautiful....

Starts to cry.....

I use to have a girlfriend who was a Pilates instrutor... the problem is that's its not a huge cardio workout... if you're wanting to lose weight you need to do the basic running etc. but Pilates WILL make you extremely stron and even MORE flexable... the man in your life will LOVE you for it

Pilates is great, but it helps to have an instructor, take a class. I've actually worked with people who've studied with him. Fascinating stuff... and can not only be healty but creative. I find yoga fantastic before meditating... and, of course, for stretching. But if you're looking to firm up, lose a couple pounds, nothing... NOTHING beats aerobics and diet combined.
