Ok I just saw this, and have to admit that I think it's just a bit crazy!! I mean, the EU setting the standard for condoms in the EU!! lol

Germany has demanded a rethink on EU guidelines on condom size after finding its average penis did not measure up.

Doctors around Essen were ordered by the government's health department to check out the average size suggested by Brussels.

They reported the EU has overestimated the size of the average penis by almost 20% and insist other countries will discover the same.

Urologist Gunther Hagler, head of the team compiling the research, said: "By checking hundreds of patients we found German penises were too small for standard EU condoms.

"On average they were 14.48 cms long and 3.95 cms wide. That makes them much smaller than the EU standard condom size of 17 cms in length and 5.6 cms in width."

He denied the German man was any smaller than the rest of Europe, adding: "We think the EU has got its sums wrong, and if other countries were to check out their men's assets they would find the EU has made a mistake in its calculations.

"There should be a rethink and the EU statisticians should check their figures again. After all, they have also ruled EU standard condoms should be able to hold 18 litres of fluid without breaking, which also seems a bit excessive."

I think I have the answer

Looks like perhaps these dimensions were the product of a political mind which always seem to possess an inflated view of self.

I saw an article in a newspaper that claimed the country with the largest average penis is Norway, I can't prove this and I can't find the study that the story was based on but it was in the Sunday Times I think and that's not a newspaper given to telling lies or noted for its Norweigen(sp) bias.

I think...

We think that EU has got its sums wrong, and if other countries were to check out their men's assets they would find the EU has made a mistake in its calculations.

EU stands for each of you.

:D

And I thought America's Silicon Valley were the experts in miniturisation. Putting bigger loads in smaller packets

Hey!

I really do have a lot of German blood in my ancestry! Deutschland uber alles!

(Well... SOMEbody had to find a positive in this story. :) )

Okay, bad joke...

My apologies... the transliteration was a decent joke, but the history of the song really does not deserve to be treated in such a light fashion.

And your something positive was a Nazi anthem?

DCL, "Deutchland Uber Alles" is not a nazi anthem, never was...though it may sound so, judging from the title of the song.

Germany is divided into "states" much like America, Their national anthem "Deutchland Uber Alles" is only a symbol of the united country these states represent...wether or not it is a united country is a whole other story.

I think the "Uber alles" bit was removed after WW2.

I honestly dont know about that Outsider...You could be right.

But dont tell me you havent heard the germans sing "Deutchland Deutchland Uuuber Aaaaallees......" during the famous soccer matches against England ;)

They may have deleted the "Uber alles" from the title.....but they sure as hell still sings it loud and proud.

As for what Danes sings to Germans Ref, European Championship anno 1992.

"Deutchland Deutchland alles ist forbie(sp) Alles ist forbie alles ist forbie" :p

as for the football match bit I think they sing that to "wind up" the English fans and I don't speak German so I have no idea about what Dutch fan's sing to German ref's so I'd like it if you'd translate it into english please.

"Deutchland Deutchland Alles ist forbie" = "germany Germany it's all over/lost"

All danes sang that to every single germany we could find, when we beat them in the finals for the european championship in 92...Even called up every germany we knew and sang it to them.

I wasn't personally at the Roskilde Festival during the finals...but I could imagine that the 20 some thousand germans there, didnt have a good time. Imagine 80.000 people taunting you, after you have paraded around thinking lil Denmark was a pushover...and then lil' Denmark wups your ass??

Ahh that was a pretty good day.

LOL, every time England play Germany (and lose to them) the comentators(sp) always say we're playing the old enemy.
