Genre Change?

I submitted a story in Interracial Love that would do a lot better in Non-Consent/ Reluctance and it's causing a bit of an uproar... Is there any way I can switch it to Non-Consent/ Reluctance now that it's already submitted?

Re-submit the exact same story with all the same details, except change the category, and put the word "EDITED" beside the title.

Make sure you put a short note in the notes box at the bottom of the story submit page before you hit the button, explaining your need for the edit.

Then it should take four or five days (as with a normal submission) to make the switch.

Sometimes (not often, if you pick your categories considerately) the admins will assert their choice of category on your story, in preference to your own choice.

I once submitted a transcript story about a woman seducing her brother. Despite the fact that it was submitted as a Transcript, it appeared a couple days later in the "Incest/Taboo" category. Not surprisingly, the reader base who weren't specifically interested in a transcript format didn't take to my story too well and the early reviews were scathing.

I've heard a handful of stories from other authors about their category choices being overridden, too. But like I say, it's a rare occurrance.
