Why does it seem like all the Geeks are in Canada or on the other side of the country.. Pfft.

Hello, I'm new here as well. It's so nice to see a geek thread. There really don't seem to be many checking in from minnesota, either. The highlight of my geek life this week was finding a signed copy of the AD&D second edition players manual.

I suppose if a geek could get sexually aroused by any game, FFVII is a good place to start. ;) Unless you count that AV someones got of Mario doing Princess Toadstool (giggle) :cathappy:

Silmarillion is a better book than LotR, but it's a longer read because it's confusing

 I couldn't finish that book. It was too boring.

And May there are us geeks on the west coast.

Haha, FFVII has so many "hints" toward sexuality it's hilarious ;). I love the game though played it all over again just recently, just as fun as I remembered it! :)

There's also the Leisure Suit Larry games. I know I learned all about how to seduce a woman from Larry Loveage

too bad you see too few female mecha pilots...

Okay, taking that one and running with it. Yes, few mecha pilots are female. The reasons for that are somewhat obvious.

Try to imagine the body suits they normally suit the pilots up with. Okay, now stop drooling and think technical aspects. The suits themselves would be painful as hell for the ladies....plumbing aspects.

*chuckles*

Sorry, too much David Weber.

Anyway, hello all. Transplanted Albertan over here doing the English as a Second Language teaching bit.

Yippee..

Booooooring.

(Sad part, after about a year, you completely lose interest in dating asian chicks.....sorry to tell you guys.....)

Now there's a game that I've always been curious to see something from....Leisure Suit Larry. Is the first one a pc game? Is it easy to find? Good to see you again, Blue! You were missed. :rose:

Well, I myself was referring to the one that came out recently for the PC, Xbox and PS2, but there were Leisure Suit Larry games long before that one, and they were for the PC. Ahh, games back in the old DOS days.

And g'night Willow.

For some reason I'm reminded of playing Bubble Bobble on the C64.. Long ago.

LSL is EASY to find. In fact It took about one hour to find all 6 originals Strat guides for all and download them all on Shareaza. If not I think you can find it all on amazon or Ebay for under 20 bucks.

Hopefully, odds are they'll have a Dos version on Download. com or Zdnet... I keeps my fingers crossed on that one! ;)

Oh my god... That I had not found this thread before is a travesty...

Well I'm here now so... 26, Male from Austin, TX... All this talk about the geekverse has my cortex aflutter... I'm a little too excited to talk right now, but I wanted to make sure I said hello and got this thread subscribed to!

PS: Best thing about Advent Children? The music! The opening title piece was great, the one where Cloud is on the motorcycle trying to get away from Kadaj's gang, and then of course the rendition of "One Winged Angel" when Sephiroth appears.

The Mechwarrior games had plenty of female pilots.
Just depends if you mean anime man-mecha, or tank-mecha.

*Sigh* And now, to reveal the depths of my geekiness, anyone else a MW fan?

i wouldn't mind Mechwarrior if it wasn't so focused on missions....i'd love a mechwarrior game with a free run mode
