Geanology

LOL

The only colorful snippet in my family tree is the fact that the name started with a protestant minister who was a refugee from Belgium. He changed his name when he started over in Amsterdam. Somewhere around 1560. From my father I inherited a political drawing that depicts my forebear delivering a sermon while the devil is whispering in his ear.

We have a coat of arms, but no title or money to flash it. :D

One of my relations did the geneology thing a while back. My second name is derived from a Latin word, so I'd imagine that my genes go back the the Roman colonisation of England at some point, but I can't remember how far back was actually traceable. The only highlight that I remember, was that my family is descended from Anne Hathaway, although sadly, not one of the branches she created with William Shakespeare.

Well, let me see... in my genes there is:

An assasinator of royalty
A cross-dressing theif
A (presumed) which
A ship-building magnate
A fake nun

All according to my gramdmother's research. I have done none of my own.

Og rules!

I had several hundred wives and a few hundred concubines.

I lost count of the hundreds, or was it thousands, of children.

In the last 5 to 6,000 years their descendants have migrated all over the world.

You are all descended from me.

A presumed which? :D

Anyone consider what kind of legacy they'll leave for their great great gandchildren to try and track down? I know at the least my children will be able to say they were descended from a confirmed witch, but has anyone ever thought about becoming an ancestor?

i am an ancestor!

i'm either going to be the coolest one, the craziest one, or the one to be the most embarrassed about. It's my job to get the reputation. It's their job to figure out which one it is.
