Gasoline price calculator, pre- and post- Obama election.

For shits and giggles, lets just see what countries have cheaper gas prices...this should be enlightening

It seems to me maybe we should be thanking Obama for keeping prices low

Just for shits and giggles Dribble lets look at the taxes Great Brittan charges on petrol. This came from 2011 when the price /liter was about 150p per. 77% of that was taxes. A combination of import and VAT. While I doubt you really care I am sure you could find the taxes for each of the countries on the list. Google can be your friend.

Other then taxes the driving price for oil is the cost on the open market.

I assume you know the government has their tax and each and every state has it's own tax rare so price comparisons are pretty much invalid.

Recently the Secretary of Energy stated in his testimony to congress the White House was unconcerned about gas prices. So much for thanking the president.

ETA: In the interest of fairness wife reminded me we were in CA in 2007 and the price of gas was close to $5/gal. and close to $4 in AZ.

That was some great testamentary, though. Some of the best testamentary I've ever seen.

Thank you in someway, shape or form. (G) That's what happens when you trust the PC totally. May I plead tired old eyes?(G)

Still no matter how you say it or SPELL it the words were telling. High gas prices = more electric cars and hybrids. Read Green energy.

Chevy Volt 37MPG+ 25-50 miles electric. $39,000 cost.

Honda Fit 34+MPH $19,000 cost.

Feel free to make you own economic decisions. I chose the Fit.

Thank you CHNOPS for the gentle reminder.

Your point is irrelevent, the price a consumer pays is what it is...whether there are taxes or not.

How about countries that subsidize their gas prices? Shall we remove those from the list?

Name one county you'd rather live in on that list. One.

Or maybe you want to really dig into why the Republican plan to lower prices fail?

This is true...and this also benefits this country. People want to complain about something. It is in their nature. They want everything for free. Yet, name one country that is better off.

notice how your comment was ignored?
High gas prices must be Obama's fault. High gas prices in other countries?

...coincidence.

No. Obama's refusal to drill in the US has significantly lowered the global supply of oil and increased the price world wide. It's no coincidence the Brits are paying near record highs!

Weird, it's almost as if you don't know anything about this, either.

Yes, oil production is booming under Obama. No, it hasn’t lowered gas prices.

The number of rigs in the United States has been soaring during the Obama years. Oil drilling is up nearly 60*percent in the past year alone....U.S. field production of crude oil is up significantly since 2008. As a result, oil imports have shrunk 11 percent in the past year. The United States is becoming more energy independent. But here’s the kicker — gas prices are still significantly higher this year than they were in 2010. It’s almost as if additional U.S. oil production is too small in the global scheme of things to affect prices at the pump in any sizeable way. (Though one could argue that extra production is keeping oil prices from going even higher than they otherwise would.)

Total bullshit. Energy prices are independent of the banking cartel puppets.
