I went to get gas tonight and had to wait in line for nearly an hour because gas was down to 99 cents a gallon. Gas hasn't been under a dollar a gal here since, .. well since before I could drive anyhow!

Anyone else experiencing this, or is it some freak Midwest thing?

Holy shit!

I wish they would drop out here in the West also.

Ours is an average of $1.47 a gallon.

I paid $1.179 today, but that's because I had to stop at a FINA station here in Texas. I've seen it down to $1.099 here in the past couple days at other stations.

OK, why the hell is Texas one of the most expensive place posted so far? I'm with MrBates - $1.179.

cents :)

Well I am from deep deep south Texas & our gas has been between .97 & .99 cents almost 2 months now.

At the start it was a surprise & every one was gasing up ... long lines etc ... but now its the norm. :)

Well I must add my .02 worth on this one..........

At most stations around town in Charlotte, NC gas has been hovering around or near $1.189 and as low as $1.119 per gallon

Though I have seen it at a few places at/near the NC/SC border for .989 per gallon...........and have heard a few grumblings that near the SC/GA border it is at or near $0.969 per gallon.

The price of gas has been steadily dropping or maintaining (at minimum) in my area.

Regular Unleaded is about 1.19 over in my part of the Metroplex. I need to fill up, so will see what prices are like tomorrow. I use Mid grade in the truck & filled it up last week for 19.00, the first time I have been able to do that in ages.

It's 1.14 in Ft. Worth and .99 in Austin, TX.

3 hours makes a bit of difference

The gas sold in each area has to be refined to the polution standars of the county. In some counties if they have more stringent polution standards it means more refinining time thus more expensive.

1.21 here in rural FL

Yep yep, guess I am a lil more rural than you BBB. It's $1.24 here in N. Fl. Was in orlando over the weekend. Gas there is $1.09 in a lot of places. Doesn't make sense

I concur. I filled up about an hour ago at the station across from BK at the corner of Sharon Amity and Central -- it was $1.189.

1) I don't have a licence.
2) Gass is i think eather 55.some or 75.some cets per Liter.
