Getting back on topic 
I go to garage sales all the time.
At the last one I stopped at this afternoon I picked up a nice heavy set of stainless steel mixing bowls and a half dozen cast iron skillets all for under $10
I also picked up some fishing gear and a half dozen VHS movies.
I think that the oddest thing that I ever saw at a yard sale was a prosthetic leg.

I do like the glass. I have some cool stuff. Not a ton. If I run across something I pick it up. I do like really old mixin bowls. My Mum gave me some of my Gran's stuff after she died. Really big & fabulous colors. I think some of it is worth money but I can never get rid of it.Emerald Eyed said:

I love yard sales! Yall ever heard of the state to state yard sale? Now that is one I really wanna go to. Gonna have to put some rails on the flatbed truck so I can haul all my finds home with.

You know you can buy those "A Christmas Story" lamps online? There is a whole site dedicated to it. My Mum's boss had her dedicate an entire day to finding a full size lamp for his nephew....Bandit1 said:Nope.

yeah it runs through like 4 or 5 states in the south for a weekend. Sounds like alot of damn yard sales....and fun.
