Are you "working on it a bit" WHILE it's in pending? If so, you're sending it to the back of the line every time you work on it a bit.
That's going to substantially increase the time it takes for your story to get approved. Leave it alone and stop working on it a bit.

Yes, this challenge should be repeated in 2024. The dates will likely be very similar to the dates listed for the 2023 750-word challenge in the 2023 Challenge List link that electricblue66 provided.
When the 2024 challenges and dates have been established, Laurel will post them. You'll be able to view them all then. For now, you can assume that many of the challenges in the 2023 list will be repeated with similar date ranges. Hope this helps.
