I can relate to this. However, the "older picture" of my wife is very special. I keep it on my phone to show her from time to time, to remind her of how spectacularly beautiful she was then, and how she hasn't changed all that much in the 40 years we've been together. I have, I daresay, a blessed life.

I have often thought that, when one looks at a loving older couple, she’s seeing how well he’s developed from that callow youth who first invited her to a movie and he’s thinking how little she’s changed from that lithesome young wench who first caught his eye.
