Reading through story feedback and reviews on Literotica, I see frequent attacks aginst authors and works regarding Non-Consensual sex. Not on the quality of the writing, but the mere use of rape.

I've posted many stories on other sites and am interested in submitting them to Literotica as well, but they are almost all dark stories with unrepentent rape. The women don't grow to like what is happening to them, and the endigns are frequently hopeless downers.

Would stories like that still be welcome here, or would they get nothing but criticism against the subject matter?

I'll steal Weird Harold's line here. Rape Fantasy will probably make it through the vetting process, Rapist Fantasy probably won't. If it's from the point of view of the rapist, then it's in dangerous territory to make it through the vetting process.

The non-con category is probably more case-by-case than any other. Without the actual stories, it's hard to guess whether it would be accepted or not.

One thing is for sure. You will receive negative comments based on the subject matter alone -- and likely venom-filed, threatening ones at that.

About all I can say for the readership of the category is to read through the stories in the toplist that have high vote totals. That might give you a meter on what the readers actually want to see in the category, as well as what Lit will accept.

The hurdle is not, as you seem to believe, reader feedback. It is getting rapist-fantasy stories accepted by the site editors-- getting them posted in the first place.

Brutality is not appreciated so I'm likely to agree with Cant and Dark. You will have trouble getting them accepted, I suspect.

there are rape stories at lit. a number are in the erotic horror category, so you might consider submitting there. "non consent" is a special term for forced, but ultimately enjoyed sex.

If the rapists suffer as a result of the rape, such as being killed or badly injured by the victims or their families, it might get through.

Assuming the site allows you to post such stories (non-con is often very sticky on the topic), it depends on the category. As said, most readers who are interested in dark stories with downer endings go to the Erotic Horror category. Which is not to say that other categories are all sweetness and light, just that readers of that category will be expecting that and, more important, will appreciate it.

If you put it in another category, you risk being low rated and criticized. There are readers who come here to find well written erotica as well as enjoy themselves. There are very few who come here to because they want to leave depressed and thinking about realistic, horrific, brutal and unpleasant rape.

I'd be saying the same, by the way, to a writer of a light, romantic-comedy story who wanted to put their tale in Erotic Horror or Loving Wives rather than Romance. That it would simply not be appreciated by readers of those categories and it would either not get read or judged harshly and unfairly. Put it where it will be read by people who can appreciate it, and it will be judged fairly. It's as simple as that.
