okay, another one of my weird ponderings.

I like looking at nude pictures of both guys and girls for different reasons.

When girls post a nude pic of themselves they normally show their whole body ... sometimes their face may be blurred, but we at least get to see the whole body ... which is the point of nude.

When guys post, we tend to just see a pic of an erect penis ... nothing else.

Why the difference?

I have a few thoughts on it... many probably wrong.

I've used netmeeting for awhile now, and have noticed the same trend with guys - as well as the guys in these forums. Not that I purposely meet with them, they're sneaky and all of a sudden... Surprise! Penis! AAAH! *Laughs.*

However. I think one of the first things is that guys don't BELIEVE that there are many very sexy areas of their bodies. Their penis is the most.. relevant area, shall we say?

Second of all. Bodies. We're all a little shy. Some of us are overweight. Some of us underweight. But... regardless of body size... the penis doesn't seem to be too radically different from guy to guy. A perfect post to segue from. First, I think it's reasonable to assert that there's nothing "average" about the mindset of those who post pics here. Second, on average, women are simply more mature and more aware of others than guys the same age tend to be - so at a rough guess the maturity level here at lit favors more interesting posts from women, be they verbal or visual.

I think it's just as much of an issue with women as it is with men. Maybe us women need to encourage men to post pics of themselves on the boards. More than just the "meat" shots..I dunno...

I find this thread interesting for a few reasons, first.........................

I'm surprised how other men have been "conditioned" that the only attractive, alluring, sensual, or "usefull" part of our bodies is our "cock." That amazes me, for of all the working out I've done in my life not once have I ever done a "cock curl".......nope......arms, chest, back, abs etc. but not the cock.

I'd be interested what some ladies who 'draw' or "sculpt' would think about a man's body. In college, I modeled nude for a few different classes. I loved what the "girls" (it was college) drew. It certainly seems to me they would pay more attention to the width of my shoulders or the shape of my chest and abs than my cock.

One sidelight in "LIT" amateur pic section is that "most" of the ladies only seem to comment on a man's shaft, while the men seem to enjoy the entire woman's body. Not ALL mind you, but many.

So, perhaps the men have become pre-conditioned in "here" to become "shaft' oriented.
