Never happened to me although there was a philosophy teacher who was gay and was subtle in offering something that was never specified. He gave me the grade I required without compensation nor merit. His subject was and is a mystery to me.
On the other hand, a couple of female students told me "I'll do ANYTHING" for a good grade. Acting on such an offer was, back in the day, a good way to get railroaded out of the school very quickly. How do I know? It happened.
