We have kept a small efficiency apartment along with three other couples for about ten years now.

It's really nothing special, bedroom (just fits a California king), living room (just enough room for two fold out futons and one arm chair) very small galley kitchen and a even smaller bathroom.

One of the couples are already empty nesters, we hopefully will be there soon and the other two have several years to go. Just found out that the rent is going up again.

Just wondering if anyone else has a setup like this and if it's really worth the $200 a month it costs.

Looking back I think we have only used it once since April, during the summer we use our lake place when we want to get away. Over the last winter I think we only used the apartment two or three times a month.

Good lord I'm rambling but it really has been convenient, ten minutes from our house.

So sorry, but what’s the deal with this place that makes it special? Just a change of scene? Magnificent vistas outside? A place to have sex without kids listening in? Dungeon gear? A place for group sex? Not trying to be sarcastic, truly.

I have a downtown condo fuckpad for first dates, dirty weekends, concerts, games and such. The rest of the time its Air’d.

It's mostly a place to play away from the kids. It's also been a place to take certain people who you might not want to know where you live, not us but one of the other couples likes to occasionally hire someone.

Away from the kids makes a lot of sense. Nothing I have done, but I can see the logic. Hope it works out for you.

This might be a good idea if/when my wife’s hotwife activities increase. A small, low maintence one bedroom apartment. Queen sized bed. Stocked with coffee and wine. The usual household items. And condoms and lube. It’s purpose would be a place for my wife to go with a man who can’t go back to his place and isn't comfortable going to the house where her husband will be.

$200 X 3 couples?

Where in the hell can you rent an apartment for $600 a month!?!?

Hell.

That is certainly Large enough and Cheap enough, I bought and installed a cabin about that size...had about $36,000.00 USD in it.

Look at places like that and see what they are worth.

Most people WASTE $200 a month.

Well after much discussion between the eight of us we decided not to renew the lease. For the $300.00 a month it would now cost us it just wasn't worth it.

It was fun while it lasted, lots of great memories.

I was thinking the same thing. Even in small towns rents don’t go this low any more.
Believe me if you ever saw it you would understand.

A pair of newly Weds would have thought it was too small, that plus the location. It was squeezed into a four plex in what I've always assumed was a back porch.

The only really good things were a separate entry from the rest of the units and lots of parking since the entrance was on the far side of the building from the main entrance.

One of the other husbands and I took all the furniture to Goodwill last week and it's now all cleared out.
