From CHYOO to Literotica

For the past couple of days, I've been typing up a non-interactive version of "Sappho's Amulet" to appear on Literotica. Chapter one has been sent off already, but has yet to be approved.

It's been an interesting experience, changing its form. I feel like I can add a lot more detail and plot, because I'm not in such a rush to get to the sex part. Also, I'm able to write without concerning myself with getting to the next choice.

Those familiar with the story as it was on CHYOO will notice some recurring characters. Victoria Brown is the star, the wearer of the amulet. Her boss, Lisa Hayes, is introduced at moment one, as well as the waitress Emily. However, the targets of Victoria's first seduction are a pair of girls who didn't even see action the first time around: prostitutes Nikki and Sapphire.

As the story progresses, I will re-introduce many of the characters seen here on CHYOO as well as some new ones. There will also be some mysteries revealed about the amulet itself: where it came from, who gave it to Victoria, what its ultimate power is.

So far, it's been fun. I'd recommend to anyone here the concept of transferring a CHYOO story to Literotica. Obviously some of them aren't really geared for such a thing (Dacia's "The Choices We Make", WayneWax's "Virtual Sex") but some of them definitely could make the transition (AaronWebster's "7 Little College Girls", Sixth's "Aaralon's Discoveries").

I will, of course, advertise when it appears on Literotica.

Best wishes from me. I hope it brings you as much sucess in Lit as it has here at Chyoo. I'd love to know the orgins of the amulet, a very cool idea.

My question

Hello,
I've often thought about turning my stories into single path literotica stories. I've seen a few writers do this before, and I have one question. What do you do with other writers' threads? Do you write your own to fill in the blanks left by their threads? I am not sure I could write a single path out of my stories as most of the storylines I enjoy are created by other Chyoo'ers. Let me know what you did?

So far, it hasn't come up. With the way that S.A. is written, it would be a simple matter for me to write a full story without ever venturing into territory composed by other authors. I'd suggest that if one did adapt threads by other people into a Literotica story, one should simply give credit where credit is due.

I'd probably ask permission first, as well. It's just a good plan when dealing with other people's copyrights.

I did this.

What I did is use the basic theme of the story, but write my own version of it. I only used my own sections, and I made sure I had permission from the other contributors before I used any of their ideas. It was pretty much original after I was finished. I included an author's note at the top thanking the other author for his contributions and permission.

Suggestion to CHYOO members who want their threads on Literotica:

You could open a new account, a joint account between the group of you, choose one thread to go with, cut and paste, and submit it with a few smoothings over. That might be fun = )
