Is that a prediction? Because I AM working on the third book in the trilogy that is going to shoot me to the top of the NY Times best seller list. :D

I hope so, then, though I haven't been too good at prophesying lately.

Harkening back to the previous posts, I'm planning a sort of sequel to "Brokeback Mountain." "Breakfront Valley" will focus on the short and long term relations of two women whose hands accidentally touch while they're putting the good china away and the spark of the contact leads them to a night of the love that dare not speak its name...

A Horse With No Name :nana:

Who needs a horse ?
I used to love this one:- Sam the Sham the Pharaos - Wooly Bully

I look forward to reading that one, Tio.

If not a horse, how about horsepower?

455 Rocket
Kathy Mattea

Mr. Smith had an Oldsmobile
Baby blue with wire wheels
Took her home the day that she was baptised
They said she leaked when it would rain
Sounded like an airplane
I knew she was a jewel in the sky

She had a 455 rocket
The biggest block alive
Couldn't hardly wait just to take my turn
She was made for the strait ways
She grew up hatin' Chevrolets
She's a rocket
She was made to burn

I've only ever had one Chevy, one Dodge (great engine, horrible rverything else) and Buicks. I love my Buicks. One car and one semi weaving around the roads last night on the way home. I bide my time and when they seem stable, I'm past 'em in seconds. :D

I remember a bunch of us laughing our socks off about these cars, 0particularly when we saw them live. The sum of the comments, as I recall was
"roadholding - junk"
"cornering - unstable"
"Engine - inefficient" (and costly).

They were absolutely no bloody good on our roads - too big, by far. More like an aircraft carrier.

THIS is (or rather, was), more our type of sporty car.
:)

German engineering can be pretty hot.

Nissan did quite well with independent front suspension.

Certainly the most well rounded car commercial I've seen in a while. :)

That reminds me too much of those blasted dual side draft carbs Datsun (who remembers that name? :D ) put on the first 240Z cars in the early 1970s.

They were fine until you needed to adjust and recalibrate them which meant you were about to spend an entire day bouncing back and forth between them.
