I like the smell of Stetson. It's not overpowering or sickeningly sweet. I think it smells very masculine, makes me think old west, illicit coupling between cowboy and dance-hall girl. And if the guy's wearing Steston cologne, a cowboy hat, and cowboy boots, and NOTHING else, well, that's even BETTER!

Shit yeah! When I was in college, there was a guy who sat next to me in philosophy class. I will never forget the combo of stetson, cigarettes and rag wool sweaters. Damn he was SOOOO sexy!!!

Now just on image value alone, I will never ever forget the Paco Rabanne ads from the mid1980s. Jeez!!

On actual smell, I like something musky, something deep. I'm gonna have to check out this lagerfield. Defiantely like Drakkar Noir.

Anyone ever hear of a cologne called something like "neige"? I must have the spelling wrong because I can't seem to find it.

You don't have it wrong. "Neiges" by Lisa Watier, is a day time fragrance that's got a spiciness to it and longevity - which is important!

"Safari" by Ralph Lauren is quite nice, not as spicey as "Neiges" but I feel is more of an evening fragrance. A calculated dab in selective areas will make my toes curl.

Both these scents stay in my cabinet and I often dab a little on myself if I'm home alone - it's a comfort thing, don't try to understand it.

I do not often wear a fragrance because it seems the women I have been with just loved to breath in huge lungfull's of my natural scent. They say it is what they think a man should smell like. But when I do wear something I am old school and wear Brute. It seems to do the job.

I like your photo, Imi. There's something about a guy or a girl with a shirt on but completely unbuttoned and open, that is just SO sexy!

I'm not sure what the Paco Rabanne ad was. Was that the one in black-and-white with the guy in tight, unsnapped jeans, and acres of oh-so-masculine rippling chest muscles? Because I remember the photo but not the cologne it was advertising.

I remember one cologne ad in a magazine in the 1980s about a woman awakened by her naked hunk stumbling around in the dark at 3 am, bumping ino furniture, trying to find the bathroom (suggesting, but not outright saying, that he had to pee after SO much sex). She said something about how his stumbling around in the dark was charming, like a lost little boy, and she could still smell his cologne in the bedsheets, and she could hardly wait for him to return. I think there was some suggestion that she could just barely see his cute naked butt in the dark. I don't know if that ad was for Paco Rabanne, but the storyline was VERY hot, hotter than any photo because it let me picture MY favorite man at the time in that story-line. That ad probably got LOTS of women buying that brand of cologne for their men, which I'm sure was the intent of the ad agency.
