gosh, you're so smart you think you can try reading the rules about good practise re quote lengths (max 5 paragraphs as a norm) and linking to your source matter?

and for any of your dems-to-reps i can quote reps-to-dems, properly, AND give links.

but since you're clearly not the brightest bulb (a trump supporter), i cannot be arsed since you'll either not read it, not understand what it says, or comprehend its meaning and so argue from a position of utter ignorance

When We Talk About Fox News, We Need to Talk About the Murdoch Family Too
The Murdochs own Fox News but rarely get the scrutiny they deserve for bankrolling racism and hatred.

HERE’S A TRICK question about the controversy over Hunter Biden’s laptop: Who’s most to blame for giving this pseudo-scandal more attention than it deserves? The New York Post for publishing the first sketchy article, or Fox News for elevating it in broadcast after broadcast?

The answer is neither. The guiltiest party is the Murdoch family, which owns both outlets. Fox and the Post are key parts of a media empire assembled over the decades by 89-year-old Rupert Murdoch, who now shares ownership with his six children, one of whom is chief executive of the family’s main company, Fox Corporation. While the Post doesn’t register much with readers outside New York, Fox is of course a national brand with a gusher of profits that has helped turn each of the Murdochs into multibillionaires. Given that Fox is a “central node” of the far-right conspiracy machine, it’s fair to regard the Murdochs as America’s first family of disinformation.

The Murdochs, however, attract far less attention than their hired hands, the journalists and shouting heads who have downplayed Covid-19 and created the delusional content that helped catapult Donald Trump to the White House. The New York Times, in the approximately dozen stories it has published that touch on the Biden laptop controversy, referenced the Murdochs in just two of them, in passing. At the Washington Post, only three articles about the laptop mention the Murdochs — again, in passing.

There’s no shortage of reporting about the wretched content created by the Murdoch machine, but remarkably little reporting about the fact that the Murdochs are behind it. As MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes noted on Twitter after the first laptop story came out, “If you’re just choosing from people in OECD countries, ostensible liberal democracies, Rupert Murdoch has to be up there as the most-single-handedly destructive person of the last three decades, right?” But Hayes can be part of the problem. While he often criticizes Fox, and on rare occasions discusses the Murdochs, most of the time he fails to mention the family that could literally flip a switch and shut off the poison. On April 20, Hayes broadcast an eight-minute segment about Fox encouraging protests against stay-at-home orders, and a week later he devoted seven minutes to detailing the ways in which Fox downplayed Covid-19 — but while he named hosts and guests who spread the worst disinformation, “Murdoch” never passed his lips.

Laura Ingham, Wrong again.

I originally posted this on the Blurt thread but it fits better here. This all part of the world wide Murdoch misinformation campaign as well.

I see the lovely Laura has condemned my country for a terrifying new assault on individual freedoms by throwing people into quarantine internment camps to combat a rising death rate from Covid 19.

Not entirely correct.

Nothing has changed in NZ. We closed our borders back in mid March. Since then anyone entering the country, whether returning citizens or foreigners, are required to spend 14 days in a Managed Isolation & Quarantine facility (MIQ) and undergo a covid19 test on arrival and again on day 12. The MIQ are in fact 4 and 5 star hotels. They are not internment camps. They stay in the luxury hotels, MIQ, until they test negative.

We do not have rising death toll from Covid19. The death toll stands at 25 and has been at that level for the last few weeks. The community transmissions of Covid 19 that have happened since we put our restrictions in place, back in March, are quarantined in their homes unless they become seriously ill in which case they are admitted to hospital.

The NZ public, largely free of the risk of Covid19 are perfectly free to go about their lives, without masks, go to work, school, travel, whatever in complete freedom.

The people demonstrated their approval of the Govt's handling of the crisis by returning them to power in a landslide of support at our general election a couple of weeks ago. The NZ National Party, which is our equivalent of the USA Republican Party, was absolutely decimated and received only 27% of the vote. They campaigned on basically adopting impeached president trumps approach to Covid 19 management.

Laura got it wrong... again!

Tucker Carlson Says He Had 'Authentic, Damning' New Hunter Biden Documents—But They Got Lost in the Mail

Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night claimed that he was in possession of a collection of new, confidential and damning documents related to Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden's family but isn't anymore because it got lost in the mail.

In a short Tucker Carlson Tonight segment, the Fox News host told a personal story about how he had received "real, authentic and damning" Hunter Biden documents, before suspiciously losing it in the mail.

Tucker's authentic, damning documents got lost in the mail?

This sounds suspiciously like the intellectually lazy kids in grade school who tell the teacher that the dog at their homework!

When Tucker’s career in Cable News falls apart, he should go into comedy! The shit he’s doing right now is hilarious!

The Murdoch Family is basically an organized crime family. Remember the Phone Hacking Scandal in the United Kingdom where British newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch were engaging in phone hacking and paying bribes to the police?

Murdoch should be in jail right now. Instead he's pushing propaganda, fear-mongering and hate-mongering into the minds of millions of Americans with his cable "news" channel.

They got found, but the dog has yet to shit the homework.

Just recently a group of armed Trump supporters stalked a campaign bus that was in Texas to promote Joseph Biden’s candidacy. They used pickup trucks to box in the campaign bus and tried to force it off the road. They also rammed an SUV that was traveling with the campaign bus.

Such reckless violence could have gotten somebody killed...indeed that may have been their intention, but over at Fox "news", Jeanine Pirro described the incident as "ordinary Americans taking this election into their own hands and getting out there and being real clear on what they stand for."

Seriously?

And they call this a news channel?

.
Domncoast is obviously dumber than a box of uneducated rocks.

SAD!!!

Lazaran posts in the politics section when he's not cumming in his pants looking through a cuckold thread in the fetish and sexuality section.

SAD!!!

No more proof of being a partisan shill than the obligatory attack on FOX News. Just change the channel and mind your own business; we're all adults and can make up our own damned minds as to where we consume news/entertainment.

Imagine if it had been a group of armed Black Lives Matters people. Imagine if they had stalked a campaign bus that was promoting Trump. If the Black Lives Matter people had rammed Trump's bus and attempted to force it off the road, would Jeanine Pirro describe the incident as "ordinary Americans taking this election into their own hands and getting out there and being real clear what they stand for?"

HELL NO!!

Media bias fact check Fox News

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news/

FOX News

"Overall, we rate Fox News strongly Right-Biased due to editorial positions and story selection that favors the right. We also rate them Mixed factually and borderline Questionable based on poor sourcing and the spreading of conspiracy theories that later must be retracted after being widely shared. Further, Fox News would be rated a Questionable source based on numerous failed fact checks by hosts and pundits, however, straight news reporting is generally reliable, therefore we rate them Mixed for factual reporting."

The Fox News channel is listed as mixed factually after considering the 'real news' elements that Fox's own opinion hosts so often disagree with. Without shows like Chris Wallace's, the rating of Fox would be like the National Inquirer or Alex Jones.

So yeah, you're free to consume whatever garbage you want, just don't try to call it real news. The Fox News network was literally founded by a conservative billionaire in order to push his preferred agenda. But if that's your favorite flavor, why waste your time with integrity and facts?

Adults my ass.

The Columbia Journalism Review describes Media Bias/Fact Check as an amateur attempt at categorizing media bias and Van Zandt as an "armchair media analyst."[3] The Poynter Institute notes, "Media Bias/Fact Check is a widely cited source for news stories and even studies about misinformation, despite the fact that its method is in no way scientific."[5] Alexandra Kitty, in a 2018 book on journalism, described MBFC as an apparent "amateur/civic outfit" and wrote that its founder's only qualification was a degree in communications.[4]

The site has been used by researchers at the University of Michigan to create a tool called the "Iffy Quotient", which draws data from Media Bias/Fact Check and NewsWhip to track the prevalence of "fake news" and questionable sources on social media.[6][7] The site was also used by a research group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in initial training of an AI to fact check and detect the bias on a website.[8][9]

Oh, good job. Now you're thinking. Now go a bit deeper. None of what you posted above implies bias within the ratings of MBFC. Now you can do your own homework. Search the site for their ratings of the liberal news sources. If you're looking for evidence of bias there you'll have a tough time. You'll find MSNBC to have a very similar rating to Fox, only with bias to the opposite political direction.

Unlike FOX opinion hosts, MBFC lists the reasoning and qualification of their reports.

Should we talk about Alexandra Kitty's book:

'OutFoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism'?

From her website:

"The director of 2004’s smash hit documentary Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism teams with journalist Alexandra Kitty in an even more detailed and updated examination of how media empires, led by Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News, have been running a “race to the bottom” in television news. They examine media consolidation by focusing on the Fox News Channel: How did Fox gain prominence? How did the Fox News Channel gain audiences and influence public debate? How does Fox report reality? Is the network merely interpreting events or is it pushing propaganda? Who are the main players and how do they treat their friends and enemies? Why should readers care about how Fox takes liberties with its facts?"

Thanks for the source. We might all do well to check her out.

Sean Hannity thinks that Trump should pardon himself and his whole family

Hannity's half-baked idea has a lot of problems. For starters, by pardoning himself, Trump would essentially be admitting he was guilty of one or more crimes. Pardons are not for innocent people.

Also, does the U.S. Constitution give the president the legal authority to pardon himself. The legal experts say "no".

In the 1970's, as Nixon was considering issuing a pardon to himself, the Justice Department issued a memorandum opinion stating that the president’s pardoning power couldn’t be applied to himself.

Law Professor, Mark Greenberg stated that the Constitution doesn’t give Trump the power to pardon himself and his family. He added that the presidential pardon clause has restrictions, just like the majority of laws in the Constitution. By potentially offering a self-pardon, Trump would violate fundamental principles of American law, which includes conflicts of interest.

“The pardon power would also have unacceptable consequences if the president could pardon himself,” Greenberg said. “He’d be able to essentially commit extremely serious crimes and immediately pardon himself, which would effectively put him above the law.”

FOX NEWS is SHOCKED AND APPALLED that Biden's Press Team Has Experience in the Press

While Fox never complained about its own inbred shills becoming Trump staffers in jobs that had nothing to do with the media, they are aghast at the notion of experienced media professionals performing media functions in the Biden administration!
