Surely the older hands here have gone through this? You feel that you've debated everything to do with sex from every possible angle and when poor newbies stick their heads over the parapet you just think 'this again? how many damn times have I answered this question or spoken about this subject?'

Well I'm there. I've hit the wall. So to avoid becoming a bitter, jaded, forum bitch I'm going to take a big step back and maybe just lurk for a bit. There'll be no need for search parties, I'll still be around... kinda. I'm not enjoying myself here so much and so I think I definitely need a break.

Still love you guys though.

I definitely can relate to this, Velvet. In the beginning, I spent an enormous amount of time here, met some people, good friends and otherwise. but every now and then, yep, you definitely get burned out.

Enjoy your break, recharge and then dive back in.

I understand.

And yet sometimes newbies surprise you and come up with something so newbish and strange you just have to fire off a snappy one-liner or ask" WTF is wrong with you!":D

I can relate as well. Not only have I taken some occasional breaks from posting, but on a couple of occasions I've completely avoided this place for a time.

Be well, Velvet. :rose:

Don't feel you have to help everybody that comes along. That will rapidly lead to "burning out". Enjoy your lurk; I spend most of my time on this forum lurking for a reason.

what's this, fatigue from seeing the same questions over and over? surely you jest, velvet?!

[mock horror]

be well, velvet. i'll miss seeing your posts as often as you've been posting, but hell yeah, do i sympathize. :>

Doing it now, Velvet...maybe see you in lurker-space.

For what it's worth, this too shall pass.

I may not have been on as long as some of you regulars, but I too have sometimes needed to step away from the boards for a bit and take a breather. So I understand the feeling entirely.

Take care velvet im really impressed you have done three years without the need for a break as it is

yea i'm often shocked how ppl can maintain such long term dedication...i know i cant ever think of novel questions so i kinda just read old stuff all the time...not as fun as actual interaction but i'm on a career best with my "not being referred to blank manual" so i just go with it lol

anyone will get tired and bored, because 40% of the questions are same-
  1. "dick size-shape-curve /
  2. upload avatar /
  3. how to get laid via online forum"

I'm sorry that you feel this way, and obviously you are not alone. I would like to say - that I'm a newbie! and really we do not know the lists and lists of threads that folks who've been here for years. So I am a little offended by your irriatation, although I do understand it. But how does some one learn unless they ask? Yep I have actually read some of the stickies- especially when I know my question HAS to be a FAQ. But come on, especially here, it is the How to forum.
Sorry I hope I don't offend others, but thought this needed the other side too.
However breaks are always important to appreciate anything. Good luck

Here's a spoiler - it involves the search function and a handful of keywords. Of course, it does also involve more intelligence than an ameoba, hence why so many people here fail to grasp the point.

Yep, me too

Seen that, done that, read that, heard that all before.
Still lurking around often though. See you in Lurksville. :)

Hey, even the joke I posted today was recycled.
