Oh I'm so sorry to hear about that! Very unfair to have to go through something like that when you're only trying to do right by yourself in the first place. I can only imagine how disappointing that experience must be. I'm finding that learning about the limitations of your own body is a very alarming thing. :-/

Are you starting to hate the word "flare-up" just as much as I am? The next time Dr. Whitecoat comes at me with that word I'm going apeshit with my alliteration & telling him & his interns to go fuck their fucking flare-ups.

I try to be positive, or at least pragmatic. I'm getting ready to start again, after several months of basically fucking off. I'm looking forward to the process, because I'm truly committed to making healthy choices for myself. Also, as I move through the process, I know that other physical challenges will improve as a result.

I guess, ultimately, I love myself enough to fully embrace the process, even with the challenges that arise. That's the truth I hold in the forefront of my consciousness, and it assures my eventual success.

For things that are entirely beyond my control, I try to embrace those things too, because being in resistance to them results in suffering, something I do have control over.

Anyway, hang in there. Health and wholeness await you.

The first one is my all time favorite too

As for this pic. It's Cannon Beach. We were making our way to Haystack Rock & The Needles. It was just too fucking windy so I had to walk backwards. Pacific Coast + March = some serious windswept action. What you see is the result of a backwards hike through a ton of wind & pelting of sand. It didn't tickle, but it was worth it.

Hugs, feel better. I have been going for a few weks without day off- finally off tomorrow, as I sit in my chair with blisters all over my feet I find those waterfalls to be so peaceful. Thank you, seems you knew what we needed.

ROCK ON! I have been wanting to do teh same with curiosity of what kind of reaction I would get posting nature shots! Lol. Great minds think alike. Love these shots. Waterfall is my favorite. Great how the bridge is the little center.

Haha, thanks. Yeah, when you stand on that bridge & feel the full force of the falls you feel pretty fucking tiny too. Then that feeling changes to pure fear & panic once you realize that you momentarily lost the rental car keys on that cute, tiny little bridge.

March - for spring break. Yes, yes I know none of that makes sense. March isn't a peak time to visit & that's generally not the direction to go in for spring break, but I had been wanting to hit up the Columbia River Gorge for years & no other time worked out for both me & my friend. So March it was.

I liked it there. Shame the weather didn't cooperate.

Incredible photographs, DRL. You have a real knack for photography. Do you sell any of your landscape pictures? I (and I am sure others) would seriously consider buying some of the gorge pictures or that windswept Pacific picture and getting them mounted and framed! No need to say sorry at all, dear. Our little pervs will always be here and they can fucking wait until you feel like it, so don't worry about us. After all, if you're heart isn't in it, the magic of it wouldn't be there, would it? For me at any rate, the overriding wonder of your erotic photos is that you enjoy doing them. If you don't enjoy, if you're not feeling the passion, the whole thing falls down like a house of cards. And whilst I'm in the midst of an epistle, let me say it's wonderful to have a glimpse of another facet of you, of other things that make you feel the wonder, of things that make your heart beat faster for a different reason. Waterfalls, forests, mountains, the ocean (always the ocean for me), thunderstorms and lunar eclipses makes one breathe more deeply and experience another kind of bliss. I've been to that waterfall with my wife. We went for Spring break a few years ago. I didn't go to the beach, though, and now regret that we didn't. While we were there, we had unseasonably great weather, which ended on the day we left.

Anyway, that beach pic is amazing, and I honor you for being brave enough to take it.
