Florida Check - In

bigger dogs hit harder

i have issues sleeping

so fellow Floridians its time for me to travel soon. I shall be spending a weekend in March in Lakeland. Hundchen is going to have a test run at a dog show. I'm looking forward to taking her and exhibiting her. Just the question is where to stay for 2 nights.

Lakeland used to be a part of my road route.
Honestly I'd not even think of staying there.
The amount of gang violence was not pretty.
Good luck on the show tho :rose:

I don't think I have to worry. They can try and rob me or harass me, but my dog will ALWAYS be with me. I plan on taking her harness with me for when she's not in the ring and has to be wearing something. This way if she has to be big scary guard dog she can do it without choking herself. I let her run around my house naked. Also going to bring her firm bite pillow for when she is having free time to give her a few bites. She does love that pillow.

The main thing is to see who allows dogs then.
Is there a website for the show that offers suggestions?

my best bet is finding someone that lives there and spending two nights with them. or hotels.com and doing the search for pets allowed. (I'm going the hotel method)

Dolphin jumps onto deck of boat, injures woman

The Associated Press - Published: March 14, 2011
MARCO ISLAND - A dolphin weighing between 600 and 700 pounds jumped onto the deck of a boat, injuring a woman in South Florida.

Isles of Capri Fire spokesman Keith Perry says a charter boat captain called 911 Sunday afternoon after the dolphin jumped on the boat and landed on one of his passengers.

The woman suffered a sprained ankle. Her name was not available.

Officials from the Isles of Capri Fire Department, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Collier County Sheriff's Office used an immobilizing board and a rope to push the dolphin back into the water.

Saturday morning was brisk! I ran a 3.7 mile race at 7:45 A.M......it was 39 degrees, muh legs were a bit chilly!

I'm in south florida, and the weather has been great this winter. We've had many days perfect for the beach and running.

I thought spring break was a few weeks ago.

My spring break was about a month ago.

It was a gorgeous weekend! Beach Saturday was glorious, no clouds, clear blue water, warm enough to get into.

Today, however, marks the first day with the AC on. I couldn't hold out any longer!

mine has been off and on for a month or so, but I'm a candy ass when it comes to sleeping hot.
