Florida Bans Pornhub.

Here in South Carolina we now need to give our drivers license to view certain sites! That’s bullshit
I won’t even talk too much about the difference in volume between the issue of free speech against 2A

Which addiction does the most damage now, porn, video games, or gambling? Many government officials won't say gambling, since it is taxed. Some city and state governments brag about casinos' employment and revenue. Some techbros laud video games in pushing chip development as a step towards AI.

Keeping porn away from kids is reasonable to me, but that is only half the work. The other half is sex education. That may become much more of a priority as the birthrate drops. We will need to do more in preparing teens for parenthood, especially in the choice of when to become parents.
Let’s put the same effort to keep the effect of bullets on people tooo

To be honest I am amazed at how much hardcore porn has always been free and open to anyone on the Internet. But I am a believer in the adage, "It's up to the parents". If all these porn sites existed when I discovered my magic penis, I probably would have never left my room.

That's really extreme right wing of you.

Why don't you think the state should be in charge of that?? What are you some kind of Nazi??

Reporting by leftist Forbes …

Per TechDirt on Monday, “nearly 139 million U.S. residents live in states with age verification laws on the books that specifically target adult entertainment platforms.” Banning access to content—whether completely or absent personally identifiable information—is a privacy minefield. As EFF warned again last week, “mandatory age verification tools are surveillance systems that threaten everyone’s rights to speech and privacy, and introduce more harm than they seek to combat.”

So he never said that and has never actually supported any gun bans or mas disarmament like the Democrats want to do or that you implied he did . Got it. :D (y) (y)

This level of (D)umb fuckery is why the left is in the position it is.
I never said that.

He wants to take guns away from crazy people like you.

Look, I can KIND of understand what Botan..errr, scuse me, UltraChad is saying here. No, I do not think that young kids should be watching porn.

But what UltraMAGALakesideChad is forgetting here, is that it is the job of the PARENTS, NOT the government, to restrict access to porn sites. It is NOT the job of the government to do this in a free society. That's why there are such things as parental controls. That's why parents reserve the right, arguably their DUTY if they are good parents, to monitor their children's internet use, and stop them from looking at "Naughty" sights.

When we abdicate this responsibility and instead place it upon the government, we are not only making big government bigger, but basically we are encouraging the formation of a "nanny state-" and then it's only a matter of time before the government decides to step in and ban hand guns, shot guns, loud music, sugary drinks, because kids might get a hold of the guns, or kids might go deaf, or they might get fat from too much sugar.

Personal responsibility means parents take action to block porn sites from their home computer. Not lobby the government to take this freedom away from all the rest of us.

Chad (pronounced 'shad'), is an example of porn addiction creating an incel for life. Incels like Chad get so used to seeing hot girls giving up their pussies freely in porn that they think this is how girls really are and they get frustrated when hot girls in real life want nothing to do with them.

Solid argument here that I 100% completely agree with.

It’s been decades since any Democrat was in charge in Florida.

I’ll also point out the hypocrisy of you saying this while on a porn board that doesn’t do what you’re advocating.

Why would anyone object to making it difficult for children to access porn sites?

Reasons supplied by Forbes

Per TechDirt on Monday, “nearly 139 million U.S. residents live in states with age verification laws on the books that specifically target adult entertainment platforms.” Banning access to content—whether completely or absent personally identifiable information—is a privacy minefield. As EFF warned again last week, “mandatory age verification tools are surveillance systems that threaten everyone’s rights to speech and privacy, and introduce more harm than they seek to combat.”

It’s good that Pornhub agrees with the goal of Florida’s law. They’re probably right that device-based verification is a more effective way to keep kids from accessing porn sites. Under the current status, Pornhub fans can avoid the age verification setup with private VPNs. Easy enough for an adult, but not so easy for children.

Ok, totally irrelevant.

I didn't advocate anything. I pointed out leftist hypocrisy.

Learn to read, better luck next time.
Ok so you don’t think states should institute age verification that includes government ID for adult sites.

Kind of curious why you’re in the discussion then.
