Fishing is NOT a guy thing. I happen to be the one who catches the most fish every year on our family fishing trips. EVERY year. No catch and release crap, either. We clean and eat them.Spence99 said:Too bad you don't live close by. A Lit Fishing Trip would be kind of cool. But one rule: no chicks. Fishing is a guy thing!

Who takes pictures of bluegills? Like I said, we clean and eat them. No trophy pics, just food!ltnsfr007 said:Need pics for proof![]()

p.s. I do, however, have about 20 years worth of calendars showing the fish counts for each year for each person. My nieces/nephew think it is the coolest thing to try to beat Auntie Cheyenne in fish count. None have caught me yet, but it is only a matter of time before one of them does...![]()
I like them much better just as pieces dragged through flour and then pan fried in butter. Fresh out of the lake is best, but we have them frozen for use at home all year long, too.DavidJericho said:Here is the secret to pan fish like bluegills and perch: Get a sausage grinder. Clean the fish and put a mess of them in a pressure cooker, then run em though the grinder and make fish cakes out of em.... like salmon pattys.

thør said:I suppose you could just pressure can the fish like salmon. Not intending to be snobby, but bluegills and perch are aquarium fish, here.
DavidJericho said:they are small and a lot of work to eat.
