First Jobs.....

One of my firsts was in an orange juice factory, but I couldn't concentrate, so I got canned.

Loved it. Good, clean wholesome humor. A fading part of society.

Then there was the summer job assisting a tailor. It was a sew-sew one that I wasn't suited for.

You are the king of employee humor! I bow to you!!

Truth be told, my first job was working for a friend of the family. I was 14, he owned a barber shop.

I liked the job, but it got a little hairy at times, I just couldn't cut it any more. It was sheer luck in the first place to get the job, and I knew it would never be a permenent situation.

:)

And here I opened this thread, thinking that it was going to be a serious one- lol.

My first job was in a butcher shop....right out of school.

I was "Grade-A". Seriously. A real "cut" above the rest. There was some prime beef that strolled in and out of there...one chick I worked with I could of really sank my teeth into. I never did, though...there was a lot at "steak".

alright...enough already. <going back to my room> heh.

Once I cleaned pools. It went swimmingly at first, but eventually I felt drained.

At least you didn't feel like you were treading water. <g>

Or...kept your head above water, even.

I used to be a deli worker, but I couldn't cut the mustard.

At least you didn't have to swim with the sharks.

I wanted to be a chef, figured it would add a little spice to my life, but I just didn't have the thyme.

My first job was in an ice cream shop, but I didn't like the bananas, so I split...
