Female Version of 'Macho'?

BTW, I settled on "femme". I hope it doesn't have some other sexual connotation I'm not aware of. I know it indicates the more feminine partner in a gay couple, but that's okay. It seems like an inherently powerful word to me. It feels powerful in the mouth and just slightly sexual and above all, it's easy to understand.

"As I left the club, there were two gorgeous femmes striding down the street, intimidating in their confidence, moving as if in their own little cone of light..."

No. Actually, I started this story a long time ago. Put it aside for now. Thinking about these women started me on the current trend though.

years ago, Thierry Mugler (sp?) created his first version of his "Femme" perfume. It came in a trendy bottle that looked a lot like Madonna, and it smelled like pussy and some flowers.

Didn't sell too good in the States...:(
