Is there one anywhere? I feel like just making things up means that similar things will end up grouped under synonyms a lot. In addition, I've just seen a thread that mentions a common tag that, had I thought of it at the time, would have been a perfect fit for my second story, and now I'm wondering if fewer people found it as a result.

Is there any way to see a complete list of tags in use sort by number of stories? If not, is there anyone who has tried to compile a list of popular topics that people tag for?

Thanks.

If you look at the tag page, the size of the tag shows roughly how often it's used (or did at one point; I don't know if those are updated or not, if it's dynamic or manual...).

The tags pages show this. It doesn't show all tags - that would be an extremely long list with a very long low-frequency tail. But the top of the list, the most popular tags, are given.

Every story list page has a short list of the "Hot Tags", followed by a link to "More Tags"

Have you never searched by tags or looked within a category for stories matching a tag?

Nope. Due to how I arrived here (I've discussed this in the "what do you get out of writing" thread), my usage of the site when searching as a reader has been mostly fragmented and, well, usually just me guiltily using google to search for terms or phrases that were exciting me to the point where I couldn't restrain myself. I'm a lot less repressed now, but still don't know of a lot of the "typical" ways of navigating the site.

(As an aside, these days when I get unrestrainable terms or phrases in my head, it usually translates into a new story outline and some snippets, rather than a guilty google search.)

The site also has it’s own dedicated search, at search.literotica.com. It’s surprisingly not terrible.

There are tag pages for the site and for each category, and you can break them down by time since publication.

Start by pulling down the Explore menu (from the top of the page) and select the tags icon.

I think these are the tags used by authors, not the tags searched by readers. I think it's a good start on semi-standardizing the tags so they can be more effective.

Oh! It was all the way down, after Poetry, close to the bottom cam girls, right next to the Author Search button, which was a function that I've previously used.

That's ok - I often get lost when I get to CAM GIRLS as well.

Hi, I just jumped into this thread because I heard about the free beer. Whatever we are discussing, I agree 100%. I'll take a Heineken.
We've interacted on quite a few posts now, and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your humor.

Interesting. I've always gotten to it from the 'Explore' menu at the top middle... Which I see now also has... a 'Tags' entry... Don't... Don't judge me. Stop. Stop it. I feel you judging me.

Check out my stories then. A few revolve around webcams. The Stranger on the Phone is a fun one.

Tbh I never used that menu. I never needed to since I could navigate the site without it.

in the bottom drawer of a locked cabinet, stuck in a disused lavatory with the sign on the door that says, “Beware of the leopard.”

It's ok. I'm a cat. I can deal with a leopard.

*Gets half her face mauled.*
