This thread is from March. I thought the topic seemed familiar, I posted, then I reread later and realized that I had posted back when it was up the first time
It's a good discussion, I just didn't realize that it was the same thread, I am curious of who bumped it? Did Charlie want to bring the topic up again or was it somebody else?
Always a good topic- I can't believe the number of people write here on lit who seem able to defend the idea that 'porn is for men'- it's like, hey, look around! duh!!!
The junk I write mostly seems to be well liked by both men and women- however I see it as different from some that is written 'for and by men' (although it's just as dirty and twisted, and I've been 'accused' of being a guy- a compliment I'll take!) because the women in my stories, *whatever else they may be* are not mearly props who are there to 1)get the guy off and/or 2) show what a stud he is. My women are characters. My men are sometimes props
(but they don't seem to mind)
In short, my women are not just 'someone to fuck' but 'someone who fucks' or gets fucked as the case may be. This is a subtle distinction that I look for, and know intuitively moreso than anything else, that sets a story/book/movie ect up from mediocre or good, to great and truly enjoyable. If you can't see the distinction, you won't ever understand why 'female porn' is necessary as an alternative to the standard ///male/// fare.
