Female porn: exist or not exist?

This thread is from March. I thought the topic seemed familiar, I posted, then I reread later and realized that I had posted back when it was up the first time:)

It's a good discussion, I just didn't realize that it was the same thread, I am curious of who bumped it? Did Charlie want to bring the topic up again or was it somebody else?

Always a good topic- I can't believe the number of people write here on lit who seem able to defend the idea that 'porn is for men'- it's like, hey, look around! duh!!!:D

The junk I write mostly seems to be well liked by both men and women- however I see it as different from some that is written 'for and by men' (although it's just as dirty and twisted, and I've been 'accused' of being a guy- a compliment I'll take!) because the women in my stories, *whatever else they may be* are not mearly props who are there to 1)get the guy off and/or 2) show what a stud he is. My women are characters. My men are sometimes props:) (but they don't seem to mind)

In short, my women are not just 'someone to fuck' but 'someone who fucks' or gets fucked as the case may be. This is a subtle distinction that I look for, and know intuitively moreso than anything else, that sets a story/book/movie ect up from mediocre or good, to great and truly enjoyable. If you can't see the distinction, you won't ever understand why 'female porn' is necessary as an alternative to the standard ///male/// fare.

Speaking personally, i find most porn quite boring.

And I think, for the same reason as women. Close ups of genitalia are boring, there's nor reason to care about the characters and the people are too perfect to be interesting. Yawn.

The only porn I've found half interesting in the last decade is stuff by Michael Ninn, especially Shock and Latex. I can't say if it's done for women but the man does, in my opinion, exceptional work.

When I write my own stuff, I don't target it for an audience. I just write the story and hope people like it.

I write the stuff *I* like. I write the stories I want to read, but don't find. That's why it baffles me when people say stuff like, "oh write this story"- I think, *you* write it, and then you will get all the details right! If I write it, you won't like it nearly as much!

I'm a gal who likes bdsm and fetish porn, and while I seldom see long movies in those genres that that I like, I have, literally, close to a thousand internet video clips lasting anywhere from one minute to 15 or 20 minutes that I find sizzling hot. And I'm picky: I throw 9.5 out of every ten clips away! A lot of kinky filmmakers have figured out how to get their actors to portray hot, sexy emotional _attitudes_ in their films that are as a big turn on to kinky women as the degrading acts are to kinky men. If I had hundreds of dollars to throw away on bandwith costs, I'd post my thousand clips on a server and then give every woman in this thread a password to the one of the weirdest film festivals online. ;)

The Brits are also good at portraying attitude in their films, as Catalina mentioned, although its a different sort of attitude than the ones you see in the rougher American or Australian clips. The British spanking and caning stuff, especially from the late 70s to late 80s is priceless, IMO. Wonderful stuff, if you like stern daddy-like men or exasperated husbands and michevious, tarty women or "schoolgirls" who deserve a good hard paddling for all the trouble they cause. :D

The French produce a lot of hot and strange kinky porn. They're practically the only ones who produce films I can watch from start to finish, although they're invairably a little disappointing as their bdsm characters always eventually suffer from sexual role confusion. :/

Specific porn films I've enjoyed offline:

La Image (french, bdsm, with those weird role confusions but it has its moments)
The Story of O (very long ten-cassette series, french, beautifully done, but the guys usually don't like it)
Journey into Pain (American amateur, hard but not too hard torture, all action and completely realistic, made in the early 80s and hard to find now, but I still see it online on occasion)
