I am creating a space on My web to help those who I speak with every day find another outlet to place ads looking for their reality.

I have only put 3 location buttons at the moment but of course will add every Country as the contacts come to Me.

I will only add those looking for skin to skin and will not link this page for at least a few days.

I do not want it cluttered...but will appreciate any comments from all.

Thank you in advance for any assisatance you can give Me.

Ahhh. :)
Glad to help.

Never < - Is a friggin genus today.

I like the idea alot.
only problem i can see is that the buttons/boxes are hard to read

errrr, Never ... was that a typo or should I be looking up a word new to me?

Shadows - that is a wonderful idea.
The buttons are kind of hard to make out - maybe a yellow font colour on the red?

I do like the concept, but agree with the others. The black font on red background makes it a bit difficult to read. Will be very interested to see the end result.

What they said, Shadowsdream.

Additionally, specifically, on my monitor (18", corner to corner), the words
DOMINANTS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS and
SUBMISSIVES SEEKING ACCPETANCE
override the small words
from submissives seeking real time and
from Dominants looking for real time.

That overlap makes the page untidy and hard to read. I don't know, however, if it's just happening on my monitor because it's the size it is or not. anyone else see it this way? What sizes are your monitors?

You know that flickering candle off to the lower right? Maybe if the words on the buttons were the color of the candle then the theme would remain but the buttons would be readable?

What kinda background?

This is a splendid idea, Shadowsdream. We've got alt.com and bondage.com but nothing, anywhere, devoted to those of us who specifically and only want "real time" posibilities in our beginnings. I'll put an ad at your site when it's ready, if you'll allow it.
:rose:

Thank you all for taking the time to analize the site...I will change the color text and find out why there is an overlap..hopefully I will get that done in the next few hours..and cym I would be proud to add your info to the page.

I am just wondering if cym is viewing in netscape and the site was written for IE.

That could explain it.
I had the most awful trouble when I used Netscape - many times peoples pages would appear to have words running into each other, when it looked perfectly alligned in IE.

i didn't get any overlap, and i can read the buttons pretty clearly. i mean they could be clearer, but i don't have any trouble figuring out what they say.

Nope. I have a brand new computer (only a couple days old) and it's running IE 6.0.2 - and there's still that mysterious overlap. My monitor size? But wouldn't a bigger monitor make it less likely to be all scrunched up?

In any case, it's pretty much unreadable on my monitor, at least those particular sections.

Ok..I have changed the button colour and dropped the text boxes..does that stop the overlap and make the buttons easier to read?

cym I have been getting that complaint about My site from about 10 % of the people that read it..I did not have that problem when I was building in Communicator but do get it when I build in Dreamweaver..unfortunately for Me..I like to build in Dreamweaver..arghhhh.

cym, monitor size shouldn't make any difference at all.

Looks much clearer now.
The only thing I would say, and this is just a personal preference thing, it's a shame you have to scroll from left to right.

good heavens..that doesn't happen on my monitor at all..and it is a BIG thing..I hate it when I have to scroll left to right....back to the drawing board I think...taking a slush break...with lots and lots of vodka in it!

Thanks for pointing it out

MUCH easier to read, Shadowsourse! However, there's still a problem.

The top area, the place that says:
Dominants Accepting Applications
from submissives looking for real time

looks fine. It's all spaced well.

However, oddly, on my monitor, the bottom part, the place that says
Submissives Seeking Acceptance
from Dominants looking for real time

is not spaced well.

The top part of that Submissives Seeking Acceptance is almost touching the bottom part from Dominants looking for real time.

For example, on my monitor, the downward stem of the "P" in "Acceptance" is almost touching the upward "f" in "from". The "D" in "Dominants" (just the next word over from the "from") is obviously up in that problem area, too.

When i do a rough cut 'n paste of both areas (rough = no prettying them up), this is what i get:

Dominants Accepting Applications
This is not a Pro Domme site
from submissives looking for real time

-and-

Submissives Seeking Acceptancefrom Dominants looking for real time

So it seems that something in the way you filled in the boxes (i know nothing about making websites, btw) when you made this page was different between the two places.

Sorry. I hate to be nitpicky but i think you want to know this stuff, right? That's why you asked, right?
:rose:

edited to add: on the bright side, i don't have to scroll!
:D

You are most welcome :)

Just for reference, mine is a 19" monitor, but it shouldn't make a difference.
I always thought the width of the page adjusted itself to the size of the monitor, similar to television pictures.

~~~smile~~~
yes cym that is why I asked and nit picky is a good thing to be when a project is this important.
I will leave it for tonight as I think My brain is fried..I may decide to begin again from scratch in the morning.
Seems like slave work to Me...
Viewing your web site at this time,...I DID have to scroll to the right enabling me to view the candle,...but other than THAT,...great set-up Shadows. :) :rose:
The scroll to see the candle bit happened to me, too.
Are you going to add a background color? If you do, please consider somethng other than black. All the black backgrounds are just depressing, to me. I'm sure there's supposed to be some deep, dark message about deep, dark desires or something, but it gets lost when you have to strain your eyes to read the actual text.
