Jan. 6 rioter cooperated with prosecutors in murder case, court records show

he received a fairly mild sentence of 30 months but extensively cooperated with the gov't in order to receive this. The court did not get to see all of the documented evidence against him, though, that online sleuths found of his actions at the Capitol building.

U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordered court records unsealed on Tuesday, saying that the defense and prosecution had missed a deadline for proposed redactions. The records were unsealed on Wednesday but were removed from the court docket after prosecutors and defense attorneys said they had submitted proposed redactions back in November and asked the court to post the redacted versions instead.

The unredacted documents taken from the court website before they were removed from the docket show that Lazar cooperated extensively with the government. As part of his cooperation, prosecutors wrote in their sentencing memo, Lazar “debriefed with the Government multiple times,” was ready to testify in a murder case unrelated to Jan. 6, “offered information regarding security breaches at a federal detention facility” and “gave the government valuable information with respect to other January 6 defendants.”

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The FBI arrested three Florida residents on Saturday, the third anniversary of their alleged attack on Capitol police officers during the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.
good. fuckers went into hiding, so i'm really glad they got caught

They had been indicted in April 2021. Jonathan Pollock had gone into hiding shortly after the attack. His sister and Hutchinson had been arrested in June 2021 and released on bond, but fled shortly before they were set to go on trial in Washington, D.C., last March.

According to a 53-page indictment, Jonathan Pollock and Hutchinson are on video recordings repeatedly punching officers during the riots. Pollock is also alleged to have grabbed riot shields from officers, and he and Hutchinson are accused of using the edge of one to strike an officer in the neck or face.

70-y.o rioter served 2 months for her part in the insurrection attempt on jan 6th... now she speaks out and holds trump DIRECTLY responsible

"The narrative is getting worse and worse, that the election was not stolen — they will not let go of that one," said Hemphill. "And we know that's a lie. And Trump knew the election had been stolen."

"And he had us come there anyway."

"I mean i'm so tired of narrative that they're putting out there," Hemphill noted. "That's why I speak out; because I have all the receipts. I was there. I know what happened that day. And I hold Trump totally responsible."
"It was an officer that saved my life that day," she said. "Trump is a dangerous, and I mean a dangerous, narcissist.

Hemphill continued: "He's a cult leader. He needs to be put in prison."

It sounds like she believes the election WAS stolen. Otherwise it would be something like this:

"The narrative is getting worse and worse, that the election was --- stolen — they will not let go of that one," said Hemphill. "And we know that's a lie. And Trump knew the election had not been stolen."

"And he had us come there anyway."

i put that down to a poor reporting of the context being used, though if you read the whole article i think it seems clear she's referring to what magats are saying in their attempts to gaslight or simply still choose to believe despite all evidence to the contrary:

"And he had us come there anyway."
"I mean i'm so tired of narrative that they're putting out there,"

"Telling me that it was a peaceful protest? I was there. I was there when they pushed those gates and those officers and when they stepped on my head.
"

"You know, that's the MAGA — I don't know how to explain it — they have this way of demeaning you and putting you down," she said. "And that's what they've got going right now is this huge gaslighting smear campaign going on."

WASHINGTON — A fire chief in Montana was arrested Wednesday in connection with the Jan. 6 attack, accused of shooting chemical spray "directly into the face" of a Capitol Police officer and at the face of a Metropolitan Police officer.

Frank Dahlquist — who was previously a firefighter in Washington state and advocated against vaccine mandates — faces numerous charges, including assault and obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder. He's the chief of West Valley Fire Rescue in Montana, and was sworn into that role in November 2022.

he's been released from pretrial detention despite having a gun when he wasn't allowed to own one

Assistant U.S. Attorney ***** Thornton III said authorities found an AR-15 rifle and ammunition when they searched Richmond's Louisiana home this week. Richmond was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to his criminal history, the prosecutor said.

Thornton said Richmond poses a flight risk, is a threat to the community and has a history of violence, including a “very aggressive posture toward law enforcement.”

“I think Jan. 6 was a culmination of deep-seated anger toward law enforcement,” Thornton said.
his defense argued he was a good dad and hadn't tried to flee before now (i'm guessing he was hoping not to/believe he'd not get caught since it had taken so long to be arrested)

Bru absconded before his trial, skipped two court hearings and "defiantly boasted via Twitter that the government would have to come get him if it wanted him.”

“Approximately a month later, it did,” prosecutors added.

Bru represented himself at his bench trial but didn't present a defense. Instead, he repeatedly proclaimed that he refused to “consent” to the trial and “showed nothing but contempt for the Court and the government,” prosecutors wrote.
