I'm "Going After Cacciatto" by Tim O'Brien . No one else is going to memorize it. I love the style and the absurdity. Needs to be preserved.

I'd probably be Shakespeare's Comedies, since I've performed in most of them, and read all of them several times.

OF Mice and Men....a simple tale with depth and character.

And didn't Steinbeck describe the book as "something that just happened?" (Or something like that?)

Tell me 'bout the rabbits MissTaken...er I mean George.

As for me, I'd be The Cruel Sea (Nicolas Monsarratt). Probably my favorite book of all time. I'm addicted to all things nautical (Royal Naval history especially)

I'd be either Curious George, or Green Eggs and Ham. Probably Curious George fits me best.

join the dots volume 3 [this book is not suitable for children under the age of 3 yrs]

:D

Green Eggs and Ham by the inimmitable Dr Seuss. Just love that Sam. :)

How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I'm into the whole Christmas "Giving" mood, but, a few things about Christmas I CANNOT STAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something wicked this way comes,

Ray Bradbury.

"
". . .Would you like, someday, Montag, to read Plato's Republic?" "Of course!" "well, I am Plato's Republic. Like to read Marcuse Aurelius? Mr. Simmons is Marcus."
"How do you do?" said Mr Simmons.
"Hello," said Montag.
"I want you to meet Jonathan Swift, the author of that evil political book, Guilliver's Travels! And this other fellow is Charels Darwin, and this one is Schopenhaur, and this one is Einstein, and this one here at my elbow is Mr. Albert Schweitzer, a very kind philosopher indeed. Here we all are, Montag. Aristophanes and Mahatma Gandhi and Gautama Buddha and Confucius and Thomas Love Peacock and Thomas Jefferson and Mr Lincoln, if you please. We are also Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John."

I love this board

I really do!
such wonderful intelligent people.
I really mean that.

The stranger is my choice.
I read at in early age and have reread it many times over the years.

This was a tough one for me. But of all the novels I've read, I'd have to say Arrow's Fall, by Mercedes Lackey. Simply because Talia, the main character, is as close to the ME that I know as I've ever read.

BTW, what a wonderful question! Pondering this really brought to mind some GREAT books, ones I've loved living. I think I need to go unpack some of them......

I'm going to have to say.

"Mr Happy's Popup Book of Pervervion"

Oh wait. A real book. Well, then...that's a lot tougher. I'm going to go with "The Stand". Not because it's scary, but because it's a book that everyone notices because it's king of big, people tend to enjoy once they've gotten into it a little bit, and has a real good chance of keeping you up late at night in bed.
